And when you saw your (((friends))), would you actually hug (((them)))?

Also, would you be surprised to find out that the 30-year-old atheist woman you've been chatting with is actually a 13-year-old Lutheran, or that someone with the screen name "gorgeous babe" or "sexy chick" is actually a 220-lb grandmother with a lazy eye?

Nijg: A "bash" is not a place where people bash. It's a get-together where people have a good time. Thanks for the kind thoughts, though, maybe I'll join your Church.

I've attended gathering like that before so yes. I met my husband in a chat room where we had a bunch of regulars and we all decided to get together at one persons place in Iowa for a weekend party. We had people come from as far away as England (my husband) and Australia.

In fact, quite a few of those people attended our wedding when we got married.

Do you really have that specific an idea of who people are?

I just sort of categorize people by their answers. As in Clever Smart Alec with a Sterling Sense of Humour or Genuinely Curious and Kind Seeker or Annoying Mule.

It could be a lot of fun to meet some of them.

Fireball wants everyone to be nice. So, she won't be attending.

Anyway, I'm a 245 pound, short, minority woman . . . . and I've not been shy about that. I'm certain everyone in the room would know exactly who I was. :D

Anyway, I might. Depends on where it is. And I'd hug three or four people.

I love the thought but the actuality might be something else. I do think about 1/3 would flip us out as to their age. But hey love the thought.

Of course I'd attend, it would be fun. I live so close to some of the regulars that I've entertained the notion of inviting them to my place for a Labor Day get together. Maybe I'll have to do that after all.

Most indeed. Arguing in person is always more entertaining, so long as everyone promises that we leave the weapons at home, fists are fine but everything else is an official foul.

Yes. Yes I would come. And no, nothing would surprise me, because the people you just described are actually already on Answers!

But who would be my date, yes, who ... ?

I would never attend any bashing parties. Especially if YOU organize them. And I think that the adult "Mormon critic" is actually a 72-year-old Wiki Basher.
