The question was posed earlier, "Which One." According to the Bible there are three.
Heaven 1. Where God currently resides, with Jesus Christ at His right hand. As many of the answerers pointed out, it does not exist in the same "dimension" as the one you and I exist in. God's ways are quite superior to ours. Faith tells us to believe it exists, and so it does. Occasionally, God has opened the eyes of some humans to get a glimpse of this Heaven. (Just ask Ezekiel or Stephen)
Heaven 2. This is where many of God's servants currently reside. These are mostly angels, though there is no telling what other kinds of beings also live there. This heaven (small h) happens to be right here on Earth. The angels that dwell here operate, manage, and administer to the Earth for God. See page one of your Bible for proof.
Heaven 3. This is an unknown. Could be the Dark Side of the Moon, could be Jupiter. All that is known is that Paul, and possibly many other of God's servants have been there.
2 Corinthians 12:I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven -- whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows.
Bear in mind, that nowhere in the Bible does it say that Heaven is man's final destination. This is a false doctrine of man. God's servants, His Chosen Ones, are to end up in the New City of Jerusalem for Eternal Life, not Heaven. This new city will be located on the newly resurfaced planet Earth.
Following the tribulation of the Earth, the Heavens (all three) that exist today are going to be destroyed, new ones will be created, and God and Jesus and all of God's Kingdom are to join God's Chosen servants in Jerusalem, fulfilling God's mysterious plan for the ages. It's all in the Bible.

Considering the variety of answers thus far, perhaps what I have to offer will not gain too large a following of laughter. There are some Prodestant belivers, among them being a variety of science orientated, lean toward an "Orion Constelation" as a potential location. Among reasons offered, are the observable high activity of the cloudy region around the center section of four stars.
With some... hummor... may I also submit that Mormons believe that G-D's residence is some where near "Kolob". Now in Mormon belief system "Kolob" is suppose to be the largest Star in the universe. Among the stars located in the constelation of Orion is said by astronomers is the largest know star "Betelgiuse".
Well perhaps a little hummor is good for such a subject of inquiry.

Heaven is the home of God and the place where He sits upon the thrown above all things. He and heaven exists in a realm outside of space and time. Heaven is so far removed from our physical time constrained existence that one must die before his or her soul can even have a chance to go there. So to answer your question heaven is not in the physical universe but has a spiritual address.

My parents are Christian and say that Heaven isnt in the universe, thay say God is the size of the universe (hes everyone in our hearts, sees everything etc) meaning theres no way just outer space could hold him and heaven, so its out of this world.

Two thirds of the New Testament talks about a spiritual realm that exists right now, side by side, with the physical world. "Heaven" is not a physical place, but exists in the spiritual realm. We cannot fly a rocket ship up to God. The Bible talks about times when people have had their eyes opened to the spiritual realm and have been able to see what they hadn't seen before.

I believe that heaven is a different place for everyone. Every ones heaven will be what is in their heart and will be perfect for that person.
All you have to do is believe in something and it can be true. Alot of people do not believe in god, and in miracle. But for those that do.Their belief has made their lives better and gotten them through hard times. ALot of bad things have been done in the name of Heaven Earth and God. Doesn't mean its right or wrong. Its what you believe and feel and whats in you heart.

It's on the outer reaches of the Alpha Quadrant, well past Vega, on a heading of 296 mark 34, and is four weeks away at Warp Factor 6.
Don't try transwarp, though, or you'll shoot right past it and end up in Orange County.
