this is just for fun. i know the real answer, but i want to see what everyone's guesses are...............

if 7-11 is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, why are there locks on the door?

the lock is there for 2 reasons. late at night, when there is only 1 person there.... so they can go to the bathroom and mop the floors. stocking, not so much. they do that in the daytime when there are 2 people there.

(i know this because i used to live across the street from one. at the time i was bartending, so my "hours" were late. interesting people that go to 7-11 at 3 o'clock in the morning!)

In stores that are open 24 hours a day, they have locks for a good reason. One is when stocking the freezer at nite, they lock it and ask that people knock loud for service. Also when there is a state of emergency they lock up for safety sake. Now see if I'm right....

The original 7-11's where open from 7 am to 11 pm. Those store probably had locks on them.

However, many of the franchise stores were open 24 hours and did not have locks on them.
