Trader Joe's hands down. They only offer something at the best price or a very competitive price. They don't hike up the price of something just because it is organic. Don't shop at Whole Foods, a customer told me a funny saying, "More like whole paycheck".

Most organic food will cost more than conventional, but here is a list of some popular organic grocers. Some of these I know are on the east others I'm not sure of.
I do know that most of the big chains like Albertsons, Safeway, Kingsoopers etc all have organic sections, but if you want a store tha sells primarily organic food look at Whole Foods Market, Wild Oats, Vitamin Cottage, Sunflower Market. Be prepared to pay a little more for the organic merchandise though. Whole Foods and Wild oats are the biggest ones out there. If you go to their websites you can find stores near where you are.

First off, congratulations on your decision to go organic. Your body will be thanking you for it! You will begin to feel the difference within a month of riding your body of processed foods.
Next, I urge you to investigate the Weston Price Foundation. They are a wonderful tool for finding local venues for good organic foods close to you. They have chapters across the country and worldwide. Their services are always free! Simply google them and then find your local chapter.
I find in the Mid-West Mejier Supermarkets have the most selection at the best price. However, I am very careful about what I purchase, particularly from publicly traded companies, I don't trust them. I never buy anything calling itself organic and it comes in a tin can, sorry, wrong answer. Stay away from Wal Mart, they have been busted twice for selling items labled organic that were not!
Investigate local farm markets, food co-ops, farm co-ops and health food stores. Once you get some time at this under your belt you'll figure out where to get the best price for the items you want.
Good luck! You won't regret your decision!

I like Sprouts and Trader Joes, but Trader Joes can be a bit expensive. Sprouts (when produce and meats are on sale and you can get coupons in the newspaper) is very cheap and also, the produce tastes fantastic.
Whole foods and wild oats are okay, but they can be pricey, unless you have coupons or like a membership there.
I also find a lot of organic foods at like a Fry's food and drug or Ralphs (idk what you have on the east coast, I live on the west) or an Albertson's :) They have some organic foods on separate ailes in the grocery stores.
Hope I helped...

Kroger is good. They have a large selection of foods. Hey, be careful about what you buy that's organic. Some of it is a ripoff, so be careful what you pay more for. Some foods taste better when they are preservative free and organic. They are better for you and your body too. Good for you!

Though Whole Foods is excellent, they are a bit pricey. Trader Joes prices are much more competitive.

I'd say Trader Joe's. I'm not even an organic food enthusiast and I still love that place.
