I read most of the answers and am totally amazed at the bigotry and ignorance I just witnessed. So stealing bread from a truck means you're Mexican? All Mexicans are illegals?
As a matter of fact, illegal aliens, and I can see the irony, whether from Mexico or elsewhere are the most law abiding people. Sure some of them got involved in crime but the statistics show that they do at a much lesser rate than legal people. I guess they might be afraid of getting deported.
On a different hand, if it is to feed my family and is the only solution, I'd not only take the bread but the truck too. No matter what the penalty might be...

If my family was starving, I would make them some bread...I would sell something to get money. I would work an extra job. I would ask others for help...
I would not steal. So I hope YOU see where you are going. AND quit making excuses!!

I would hope it wouldn't come to stealing. This day and age there are so many organizations to help starving families. The bread man could also have a starved family and he is just trying to make enough money to feed there mouths. Why not just ask the bread man for a loaf of bread for your family or ask to help deliver.

robbery is robbery no count number what the reason in the back of this is. That being reported, if a individual is caught stealing a loaf of bread and is dropped on the managers place of work till now the chief calls the police. they're going to question them some till now this occurs and any supervisor with any style of compassion in any respect will tell the guy they gained't press expenditures and actual grant to pay for the loaf of bread, with a warning of direction that this can not be tolerated returned. the guy attempting to feed his ravenous relatives will take delivery of a few public assisstance telephone numbers of communities that are prepared to help his relatives out.

You are still stealing from someone else who is trying to make a living. Why should the bread truck owner have to suffer because you can't find a job???

If the bread truck was not willing to give to the poor, I can see where this is coming. There is a verse in Matthew that says sell all your worldly possessions and give to the poor.

Yes, I would and HAVE!!! You got to do what you got to do. Wait, actually I was going to still the bread from the bread truck but then i thought I could just ask and I shall receive, so I did and I got bread. But then in another case, I did still milk for my baby.

So you are trying to say if they could steal from a bread truck, they could steal from a bank right?? And it'd be ok??
I think I understand your logic. You are saying it's ok to rob a bank if your family is hungry, and you shouldn't be sent to prison.
WRONG. A crime is a crime. The prisons are full of people that are innocent, ask them!!!

Of course-
But that doesn't make it any less of a crime- I would expect to be punished.
I wouldn't consider for a second marching in the streets to demand the right to rob bread from bread trucks whenever I felt that I needed to in order to feed my family.
