That's what we are supposed to be doing - the word says that we are supposed to be doing greater work and we are supposed to leave our old life and follow him. He says pick up your cross and follow me.

if we could be perfect wouldn't you want to?? Heaven is perfect and the only way to be like jesus is do what he said to his desiples go into the world and preach the good news. i don't think anyone would really be ready leave their old life and follow him just like that. first they would have to stop doing alot of stuff and start to read the bible for one. they could say they are ready but would they really mean it? how about you are you ready? if yes do you really mean it. you can't ask others until you ask yourself. "What if there was a way to become like Jesus and do as he did and more??

You would have to give up a lot of stuff in life and go places and do things that most likely will get you killed not by the law , but by idiots on the street. So go like jesus and pack a stun gun :)

yes there is a way to become like jesus, first you have to admit to God and Jesus that you are a sinner, and that you ask them both to forgive you, then you ask for jesus to come into your heart, and then after a period of time you will notice that you no longer wish to do some of the things that the world wants you to do, and God Understands that people have habits like smoking even after you get saved and you still smoke thats ok as long as you try to quit and ask Jesus to take the desire away and get serious. I am not saying that you do smoke i am just using it as an example. Also we must live by the word of God and witness to people about God and Jesus just as Jesus did. then you will begin to live like jesus. if you are a new child of God then i would suggest getting an NIV translation of the bible they are the easiest to understand when you are first beginning. I will send you one if you like.
GOd Bless You,
Courtney

If you start walking on water, healing the sick, feeding five thousand (from a few morsels), raising the dead, claiming that you are the son of god. Then I may review my beliefs. Of course, you would have to be prepared to die on the cross. You just can't have the best bits.

As best as we can prove the only thing Jesus did was provide a template upon which Saul of Tarsus created a new cult.

As a christian are you not supposed to be doing that anyways?

Come to think of it, I've never met a christian who attempted to actually live like Jesus.
