major in gettin money

there are no rules, get the money, buy the course, hire a manager and there you go. You dont need any special education you just need the money to buy the course

Major in "Making 20 million dollars." Anyone with the cash can buy a golf course, there's no skill required. But if you don't have the scratch, nothing else matters.

Golf course management courses. They teach you everything. Then go to business school. Be sure to keep in good contact with those who are attending the classes with you, they may become a business partner with you one day...your going to need lotz of them.

Landscape architecture would be a good start. They are the primary designers of most golf courses.

Civil engineering wouldn't be bad either. They are the ones who actually make the landscape architect's designs work.

I work for a civil engineering firm in Texas and we have designed many golf courses in our area. With those degrees, you could design and engineer your own G.C. however you want it.

Check with your college you want to attend to make sure they have it first. But, I think it is called Golf Course Management.
