Muslims, did Muhammad test the angel Gabriel to see that he was from God?

A prophet of God must be in agreement with the words of the prophets and the known word of God.

Anyone who claims to be a prophet of God must agree Jesus is the Christ the Son of God who is our savior.

2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist

Gal. 1: 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

If an angel or a man preach a different gospel he is not of God.

an angel must be tested according to the God that existed before Muhammad.
He is tested by the word of God. If Allah is the God of Abraham than the angel should be tested it is in the word of God.

Cathy matters not what a Muslim believes but only what God tells us.
If Muhammad is a prophet of God he would be tested to see he is a prophet and any angel would be tested...Do Muslims believe allah when he says he is the god of Abraham? How can we say we follow the God of Abraham which Allah says he is and disregard the words of the God of Abraham?

Cathy isn't Allah suposed to be the same God as the God that was worshipped before Muhammad or is this a different god? The Qu'ran says Allah is the God of Abraham therefore the word of God is definitely essential to him. God does not go against his own word...It is impossible and the reason he taught his people to test a prophet and an angel.

C thanks, It always amazes me that Muhammad can be a prophet of God without any uncorrupt scriptures he could have followed and no ability to speak directly to God. What would a prophet use to know and follow God? If man did not follow God how would he be a prophet?

What a great question! I can see the Muslims are having trouble with this one and that makes perfect sense.

They claim the Holy Bible is from God. They make references to it, mostly about the Holy Spirit, and say that was proof the Bible prophesied about Muhammad. They make claims that Muhammad was like Moses more than Jesus was and quote the Bible for that too. But when you present scripture that shows Muhammad cannot be a prophet of God, they say the Bible is corrupt and cannot be believed. The only proof they have of that is the word of Muhammad and the angel he talked to. They are not even aware that Satan is an angel. They are not aware he was sent down to earth with other angels who followed him and his purpose is to turn people away from God while he has the chance to. He's a fallen angel. There's no doubt in my mind he's the one that talked to Muhammad. Only a fallen angel would describe Jesus as only a prophet. No angel of God would.
