please read this even though it is long
when i go to school i am not part of popular group or nerd group (i know that is a lot of stereotyping but its just so u get the idea). i have a group of friends who are in the middle of the cliques although a few of them have done stupid things. i still get along with everyone, and people dont have a problem talking to me. when it comes to boys many of them tease me and i have been told it is because they like me. as for some of the boys that i have found out like me, none of them ask me out. im not saying that im sad by it, but this summer for the first time i went to this beach club and a lot of the boys have been talking to me, and flirting with me A LOT. some follow me around, and they are nice to me, they also hang out with me, and even want to be my bf. what im asking is why do these boys (that go to diff towns and diff schools) treat me diff than boys @ school? i think that its bc of the people im friends wit?
thanks

possiblly. i think that because you were at the beach club by yourself (im assuming) the guys (the ones from the other schools) found you more approchable than the guys (from your school) that you hang with. Maybe you should spend some time by your self (in the library, in the courtyard, whatever) and see if more guys talk to you. you will seem more approachable than if you are hanging with your crazy friends all the time.

Well, we can only answer this question after you tell us your gender, because if you are a boy- which is what I assumed being one myself when I started reading- this is EXTREMLEY awkward. If you are a girl- well, yeah, that could be the reason. A lot of boys also want a gf from another place, so in case it goes wrong, they never have to see you again, unlike the school environment. Or maybe you just live in an area where the boys are ghey. Not literally. But they MAY be stupid

No. The difference is not your friends.
The out-of-towner boys are just that. They’re from out-of-town. I would not be surprised if they ask you to be their girlfriend since they know they’ll unlikely to see you after the summer. It’s more like a summer fling.
As for the boys at school, you may be more popular than you think. They might not be asking you because you’re smart at school. Or they think you might turn them down. Or maybe they like you but think it’s not the right time to ask you out. Yet.
There’s a bunch of reason why guys will ask you out and why they won’t. Before you say yes to the out-of-towners, think it’s worth it but don’t be fooled by sweet talk.
Honestly, just stop beating yourself about it and enjoy school. You’re just going to give yourself stress by thinking what is the reason behind boys not asking you out.
Enjoy school and stop worrying about the boys. Then they will come. :)

There could be a lot of different reasons but I think that the biggest reason boys treat you differently at school is because they can see that you are an independant person and that you do not feel obligated to join the in or out group to be happy. Independance is slightly scary to them since they couldnt be on the outside of one of their groups and still feel "normal".
Good luck!

Boys are strange. When I was in high school 20 yrs. ago I had boys liking me that I totally didn't know liked me, and were nice to me. I ended up dating boys that wanted to date me but I could hardly tell why. Why?Why? WHY? Guys are just strange. I've had guys be absolutely obnoxious and rude to me but that was because they wanted my attention or they liked me but that was their only way of showing it. Anyway, I grew up and became a lesbian because guys got on my f***ing nerves and wasted my time, money and ended up being lousy in bed, so why bother. All the really good looking ones were gay. I'm not saying you will grow up and be gay but in time you too will realize along with the rest of the women on Earth that men are weird and self absorbed and make no sense. I too was in the in between crowd at school. You story is ditto to mine, as far as school goes and the boys. Boys are weird. Now that I'm 37 I just use them to move large objects and they are sometimes fun to look at, that's about it.Good luck.

Because they are weird. They probably do that because they don't know you at school so maybe they just think you're hot. Also, they might not be worried about their reputation or their friends so they do different things in the summer than during the year. That's all I can say, I hope I helped. Good luck! ( ;

the boys at your school have known you for a long time it's hard to accept the changes they see in you, that you've probably made in the last few years (or what might seem to them ,all of a sudden),and they don't know how to respond. they're used to teasing you and not yet ready to act in a more adult manner toward you.you have to remember girls mature a lot faster than boys.

It could be the people that you hang around with or just because the ppl from your school know you since you were kids. I would think it is because of friends. Ppl do look at what type of friends you have have, that might be the affect.

Because the boys you go to school with have to see you the next day if you turn them down. Why don't you suggest to a boy you'd like to see more of that there's a movie that you would like to see? If there's one thing boys have trouble with it's fear of rejection.
