Why use "Maybe" "may have"....seems they are not 100% sure of anything...
And everything they discover is "35 billion years ago" "100 million years ago"...why can't they discover anything recent years....seems those millions of years is a way backup other lousy "Theories".....

And those who put their souls on the line, in believing such uncertainity, are surely deceived...

Do a basic search on the internet on what a theory is and you get statements like "a theory does'nt prove something true but it is verifiyed by empirical evidence." or "science does'nt state that something is true". Science is by nature limited to certain empirical evidence which can be subject to change. The theory of evolution has itself been changed from the days of Darwin to now.

People who say that evolution is a theory with a larger body of evidence to support it often forget that a theory may be falsifisied in the future and so all that so called body of evidence can turn up to be not so accurate.

After about 200 years the theory of Newton Mechanics while still containing useful elements has been conclusively falsified and replaced by theories of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. In some scientific quarters mainstream evolution has been said to be falsified and not just by creationists.

People who put their trust in science will at some point be disapointed because new information and discovery can affect it's theories and claims.

Scientists are willing to say that they are uncertain of things because other scientists continually find new things. Could you imagine what would happen if they never changed their ideas? If they didn't, they could never improve themselves. Once a drug for a disease is found, they could no longer search for a more effective drug. In reality, they can always use updated info and figure out how to improve drugs, build better machines, use more accurate equipment to measure with, etc.

Now for the idea that everything that's discovered is old. That is only true for things like evolution, palientology, and geology, which deal specifically with what happened in the past. However, most things are recent. Chemistry is always contemporary. In fact, the model of the atom that exists today (the protons and neutrons with the orbiting electrons) was found in the last century. Medicines and antibiotics are invented constantly. Penicillin, for instance, wasn't found until 1928.

Have you even taken a sceince class?

In addition, religion's confidence can be deceptive. Religious leaders always claim to be 100% sure about their views. However, this led them to accept crazy ideas like the earth couldn't possibly revolve around the sun. (The catholic church excommunicated Galileo.) The church also spread the belief that diseases are caused by demons, not germs.

Edit:
Science can't stop a man from dying? Scientists invented drugs and all the procedures used by doctors in hospitals. Medicine tends to be more effective than an exorcism.

Science is about keeping an open mind about what they are studying rather than starting with a preconceived notion and sticking with it despite evidence to the contrary or lack of evidence. It is exactly this which is the true strength of science and what makes it the best (albeit not perfect) tool for exploring reality that we have. If we followed your reasoning we would still believe disease was caused directly by God and be living in a much more primitive world. It was being willing to question dogma and beliefs and move beyond them that advanced humanity.

Wow, please don't take offense to this, but I have to say it. Scientist don't claim to know everything, they simply study the natural world and try to make sense of it. It isn't a religion, they're not making stuff up and saying that it's true. They study things and form conclusions from the results. Their doing so has made it possible for you to use the computer you posted your question from. You can choose to attribute that to god if you like, but I never read anything about god making a computer in ANY holy book, nor any answers about how to make computers talk to eachother through the internet. But hey, what do I know, I'm just a stupid non-believer that doesn't have the imagination to make myself believe that god has all the answers. I keep thinking that if god really did have all the answers and put them in a holy book, there would have been computers within days of the holy book's release. Why DID god wait so long to make computers? I'm sure you have a holy answer to that, backed by clear, unambiguous holy scripture, right?

LOL.. I was actually cringing as I opened this page, fearing the ignorance that was sure to be staring back at me...

Dude.. come off it please. Until we have the answer to a question, it's a guessing game, as it should be. The difference between scientists and theologians is that the guesses on the part of the scientists are educated and based on evidence.

I am not the one who is deceived.

Being "uncertain" means keeping an open mind. It means being receptive to new ideas and new information.
It's when someone starts to talk about being 100% certain of something that you need to be concerned. Anyone who says that is closed off to new and often better ideas because he's convinced he already has the truth. And that's nothing but ignorant arrogance.

the international warming controversy incorporates a kind of disputes concerning the character, reasons, and outcomes of international warming. The debates are extra in the known media than in the scientific literature.[a million][2] The disputed subject concerns contain the reasons of bigger international elementary air temperature, exceedingly simply by fact the mid-twentieth century, no remember if one in all those warming type is astounding or interior universal climatic alterations, no remember if humankind has contributed critically to it, and no remember if the upward thrust is totally or in part an artifact of detrimental measurements. extra disputes subject estimates of climate sensitivity, predictions of extra warming, and what the implications of international warming would be.

mr plankton, are you unsure of how you are speaking to us today?...science did that...no uncertainty about it. and, just so you know, uncertainty is one of the core principles of scienctific endeavor. if one day, evidence comes along to disprove an accepted theory (i strongly suggest you research how a theory is determined) then that theory gets amended. as an example, einstein proved that gravity is not a force as envisioned by newton but simply the bending of space/time. this is how progress is made sonny...go read something.

Well some ideas are more sound then others. And some ideas are a bit harder to figure out. The more time you give science the more they figure out. The more time you give religion the stupider they look.

Because science is not static or stagnant. It's ever-changing and evolving as new discoveries are made. Oh, and scientific theories have been very rigorously tested and retested.
