Given a choice I would also prefer a plastic spoon, it does frost a metal spoon and some times stick to your tongue momentarily, now either way I would never turn down ice cream, UMMM! ;-)

If you use a metal spoon, put it in your mouth upside down so you feel the ice cream on your tongue and not the cold spoon.

I can't eat anything hot or cold with a metal spoon. I use a plastic one .. I'm not sure why though.
My mom says even when I was little, I wouldn't use a metal spoon. So, you aren't weird - you just aren't normal either.
But isn't normal just a setting on a dryer anyway ??

Billy Bob Thornton hated it too in "Monster's Ball"; he only ate his ice cream with a plastic spoon.

I understand, the metal spoon tends to be super cold, and on plastic forks it doesn't tend to be as cold.I with u on this one
