A travel themed wedding is a lot of fun!! You can name the tables after places where you and your fiance have been along with a picture you took there. You could make the escort cards look like little suitcases and also use suitcases for your centerpieces.

I think a travel theme is a great idea, especially if you are well traveled. You can have a table with your first date location, places you've been. For example my husband and I cruise a lot so we might have a Cozumel table, a Grand Cayman table, a Key West table. Then you could have Paris, London. Where ever you have traveled. Do a centerpiece that includes a couple pictures of the place and the two of you there. Perhaps like one of those business card/memo holders like this

and have your florist arrange that into the centerpieces.
Especially if you use the same floral arrangements--each one will be unique and different without being a complete hodgepodge of colors and pictures.
Then once you decide the honeymoon location you can make that your last table. Perhaps use suitcases are your cake topper.

My aunt just did travel as her wedding theme & it was great. They used the Dr. Seuss book "Oh The Places You'll Go" as the main theme but changed it to "Oh The Places We'll Go". They had each guest write down their favorite place they've been to or a place they wish to visit someday. (These cards also served as their guest book). I like the idea of doing food from different places & letting guests choose whichever one they prefer. This theme could work for places you've already been & where you hope to go in the future. Good luck!

I think it's a great idea--there are honeymoon registries--just make sure you check them out very carefully. I've read articles that some are scams. Just remember that gifts are for the giver to choose--not you as the recipient. You can have a registry and all that, but ultimately, it's each guest's decision on what to give you (or even to give a gift). It's your job to graciously accept all gifts given to you, and to acknowledge each with a hand written thank you note.

make them on a post card.. or air plaine tickets
*on the tables put pictures out all around with a note at the bottom where you were and the date.
* Let each table be a place you have traveled. If ... China is a place you have visited or wanted to visit.. put pictures and maybe for centerpeices have bamboo or picture of diffrent things in china or if you have been there.. some things you got while you were there and pictures of you both there.

I like that idea alot...I recently saw a travel themed wedding and here are some ideas...
Invitations look like passports on the outside and on the inside have your wedding details.
Placecards can be luggage tags
Centerpieces can be vintage style suitcases (you can get them here at cost plus) filled with flowers http://www.worldmarket.com/Vintage-Leather-Luggage/lev/4/productId/2583/Ntt/luggage/Ntx/mode+matchallpartial/Ntk/Def/N/0/Nty/1/index.pro
Cover glass votive candles with maps so when they are lite they have a nice glow from within
Have different themed food stations of food from your travels, a sushi station, a pasta station etc.
Instead of a guest book have them sign a photo album book (the printed kind the looks like a bound book) of pictures of your travels together.

Eh...
I think it sounds like it could get a little camp. And I don't like the idea of honeymoon registries in general, because it seems like a thinly disguised alterior to just asking for monetary gifts.
However, done right, I suppose a travel-theme wedding would be nice.
And don't worry, my opinion on this catagory is rarely appreciated and almost never shared.

I've seen a lot of brides incorporate the places they've been as their table cards. Instead of table 1, they'll have a picture of them in "San Francisco" or "Mexico". If nothing else, it tells a story of where the couple has been together!

A wedding shouldn't have a theme. The theme of the party is that it's a wedding and should be about you. Choosing colors is as far as you should go with a theme.
