NO! it's pretty much opposite for most women. This is a very common misconception (pardon the pun), but it's not true. Get on webmd.com, and study the process of your body's cycle, so you can be educated.
On average, women ovulate from 5 days to 17 days after the first day of their period. But, every woman is diff, just so you know.

You can get pregnant every day. Doesnt matter what day of your cycle it is.
I got pregnant on my period.
Women ovulate generally 14 days before their periods. But not all women are the same and you can ovulate on different days each cycle, or have a fluke ovulation out of the blue.

Nothing is definite, it only means that you are more fertile the week before and a lot less fertile the week after.

no you can get at any time. My ex's sister was very regular and kept track of her ovulation times and still managed to get pregnant even with all the timing and planning around that so she wouldn't
