Yes this is a point to be made for that but in the end R&S is too static a platform to have such a discussion. I do believe the sands of the Colloseum was a good discussion ground but then it turned red with angry blood quite often.

So I guess we could use R&S after all but it would have to be a quid pro quo format.

It's too serious a matter to make fun of anyone who does, or doesn't believe in God. My personal point of view is that there is a little belief in God in every atheist and a little atheist in every Christian. As a Christian, I have had my doubts and I think it's a natural thing to do. Conversely, I suspect that any truthful atheist would also concede that they too have have moments of doubt as to their disbelief. If we would all be honest with our self and with each other, we would all be a little closer to a meaningful discussion. We need not "make fun," to have fun.

We are going back to the basics and trying to prove each other wrong by throwing insults and getting angry and having a temper tantrum in the middle of a crowd and flailing all around like a little school girl.
Which I like doing often to make a point.

Well - you can't really say, IMHO, that god does or does not exist because of lack of evidence. You can only talk about beliefs.

But I suppose that non-believers (like myself) can try to intelligently make a case for the lack of evidence and believers can try to intelligently make a case for the evidence.

Not that it always happens that way, of course ...

no, some people, like me, very much enjoy a good debate on things like the existence of god.
there is a very good point
however, it is fun to make fun of your opponent every once in a while ;)

that is what tends to happen since you can't have a back and forth discussion, but many of the people here would probably be more than happy to discuss this topic with you.

That is what makes it fun. If there actually real answers to this there would be no attraction to it.

No. I think we try to bring new ideas to the table for people to mull over sometimes.
