There is no address on my passport - recently contacted passport service for this very issue and they said that as there is no address on it it is no necessary to update it.
To renew it costs £66!! Mine is fairly new so e-mail the UK passport service just for your own peace of mind...........

I am in the United States and called about this same issue. They told me that I need to write a letter to the National Passport Center and that my address would be updated in their system.
My passport does not have an address on it either.

There is no address in your passport and so there is no need to tell the passport.
As a rule, if anything that you can read and see on your passport changes, you need to change the passport e.g. name changes.

no - passport covers the person not address. They only need an address when you are renewing/applying for a passport

I had to look at my passport. I could have sworn it had my address. It doesn't. lol
Unless it has expired, you should be fine with it the way it is. Granted, mine says I live in Pennsylvania. I'm sure if I move to, say, Virginia again (God forbid), I would have to update it, but wouldn't have to get a new one until this one is no longer valid. I've got 9 years left on this one.

Also, change your voter registration, if you're registered to vote. If you own a vehicle, need to get new licenses for the vehicle if moving to a different states or notify the DMV of the new address if moving in-state. Notify the Post Office of your new address and get your mail forwarded for six months. And, yes, moving does involve a lot, which is why I hate to do it.

No you don't need to change your passport, but you will need to change your driving licence and log book... for example if your car gets stolen, it would mean that the police would have trouble tracing you..
