We have restriced his activity the past few days and it isn't getting any better. We have checked out his paw and don't see anything, nor does he make any noises. We have ran our hands up and down his leg- and nothing. Any ideas?

Sometimes something gets stuck in between the paw pads, you may not see it right off, I would take another look. If it gets worse I would call the vet for his opinion, they may want to have a look at him to make sure nothing else is wrong.

It could be a pulled or torn ligament or tendon. If it doesn't get better in a few days, I'd have it looked at.

sometimes large breed dogs get "pano" or growing pains. Or it could be joint problems in any joint, pulled muscles, sudle pad cuts, ligaments- dang impossible to tell from here!
