yes, it still hurts. What effects the pain is the location of the tattoo, the size, and how much coloring that is done. But I do have some good news. Some tattoo shops now have a topical anesthetic creme that they apply to the skin after the outline is finished. The creme does cost extra, anywhere from 10-20 dollars. The outline is the worst part of getting a tattoo but if after the outline is done, and you still need a little help with the pain, then opt for the creme. But from personal experience I will tell you that it really doesn't hurt as bad as you think it does. And I have a very low pain tolerance.

I'm always amazed at people asking about pain and tattoos. Of course, it hurts. Someone may say that their ankle tattoo was the worst of all and others will say their back was worst. It depends on the individual.
There will be pain, it will be uncomfortable afterwards to some extent, you do have to take care of it. You will live through the pain. No one has died from tattoo pain. The end result will be something you are proud of and love.
Think long and hard about the design you want, research tattoo shops for cleanliness and artistry. then just do it. If you need breaks then say so to the artist. He will be stopping periodically to wipe excess ink off anyway and that reallly helps to get those little breaks.
You'll be fine!

Depends on the location of the tattoo, the size, and whether it's a simple outline or something more detailed and filled in with color. Need more information for a better answer.

Getting a tattoo is definitely uncomfortable - even painful for some. After the first little bit, with the vibration of the needles, you get a bit numb almost and it isn't so bad. It definitely depends on your pain tolerance and where you get them too. Arms, ankles and shoulders aren't too bad, but tailbone, spine and near your kidneys hurts like a b****. They are so worth it though. :o)

sure. it many times takes a pair of week or extra for the tattoo to heal over, and for that portion of dermis to return to its ordinary state. If the tattoo maintains to annoy or burn, you are able to see a physician, as there may be an infection.

I myself have two and would have to say that at the least it's pretty uncomfortable. It also depends on the location and if your a thin person its likely to hurt more then it would otherwise. It also depends on how you handle pain. good luck

If you're talking about the tattoo that uses water, no. If you're talking about the tattoo that doesn't use water, yes. It doesn't if they use medicine.

It feels like a shallow cutting. They use a hot needle and drag it over your skin. It all depends on your pain tolerance
