Prophecies of the Holy Bible are real. We are witnessing some happening now, some getting ready to happen and we know many came to pass with Jesus and Israel. The Jewish Temple being rebuilt will happen. People saying they are too smart to believe was foretold. Jerusalem being the center of attention is happening. Peace pact with Israel. One world religion, one world government, one world currency...people talk about globalization all the time. It's happening! On this site, so many people say can't we just accept all beliefs and learn from them all. Let's all agree and get along because there's good in all religions. Well, I say no there's not and I will not accept them all. These prophesies are not fake or so general that anyone can fit it into their personal experiences. These are guarantees from God.

God Bless.

If you *really* the the bible has "100% accurate" prophecies, then you've never read it. Frankly, you'd be hard-pressed to find a *single* real prophecy there. Besides, making a lucky guess about the future isn't any indication of "divine inspiration." I myself predicted, on this very forum, late last year that in the first half of 2009 there would be a commercial plane crash in the US where at least 12 people died. And guess what? There was one in the first half of 2009. My "prophecy" came true, and I was MUCH more specific than any bible prophecy. Does that make me a prophet? Or do you think I just played the odds and won? Peace.

The Bible is the ONLY book in the world that has precise, specific predictions that were made hundreds of years in advance (and YES there IS historical evidence, historians know when documents were written) and that were fulfilled.

The Bible has very specific prophesy about how Jesus would die, his hands and feet would be pierced, about the casting of lots for his garments and pierced with a lance. This was all written before crucifixion was even implemented by the Romans. Jews stoned people to death back then.

People claiming that Bible prophecy is vague have no idea what they're talking about. Do your research and find out for yourselves.

Not a single prediction of Nostradamus has ever been proven genuine.

When I first saw your question, I thought you were challenging the prophecies in the Bible. I thought, "dang, here we go again." I got out my Bible and got ready to do some typing.

When I clicked on the link you gave us, I was really really relieved and grateful to see all the work had already been done for me.

Thank you so much for posting this link. I put it in my favorites.

As for people who think the prophecies are fake, I think they are just scared of accepting the truth.
But, that's ok. Stuff happens no matter who doesn't believe it. Some people will deny it is happening when it's happening right in front of their eyes.

The Bible states that some people have spiritual blindness. Only God can open their eyes, and soften hearts.

Thanks again. God bless you, geeks_gadgets.

lol...

in such a 'peaceful' era as when that was written it must have been considered impossible that a WAR might have broken out at SOME point...

and Jews have ALWAYS been welcomed with open arms where ever they went???

and at some time in the last 2000 year the Jews MIGHT have grown large enough and amassed enough money to 'reclaim' Israel...

its a BS self fulling 'prophecy' that could or might occur with THOUSANDS of years in between each 'event'...

hey at some point in the next 2000 years i predict that there will be a war and that a group of people will be hated by the world. They will be accused of crimes and their philosophies will live on after their movement has died...

hum...

could be the Nazis, could be AL-quada, could be the Christan's and the crusades, could be at some point in the next 2000 years a group of people will full fill this 'prophecy'...

Bongernet wrote something ( the first answerer) that I wish to briefly show an irony with:
He wrote:
Remember, “god” is nothing more than a nonsense word made up by man to explain away the things we can’t yet understand.

Well, can I not then also truly write:
Remember, “Atheist” is nothing more than a nonsense word made up by man to explain away the things we can’t yet understand.
If one is true then so can be the other.

Now to answer your question,
It wasn't the writers that had to be so smart.
What they had to do is either write something that they've heard or made up, or write what God inspired them to write. When I read the prophecies about Jesus in particular, they make sense to me.

I suppose that there are some people that just can't get. It is so easy for me to see.

Obviously those writers were not Jews, but actually had a clear vision of how distasteful those people were and how human nature is.
In English....."those people were gonna get an butt whoopin everywhere they went for nobody would want a neighbor such as they. Self righteous pig heads.
We Jews can go where we want, (for it is our right), take what we want(for it is oour right), never say please or thank you, (because we don't have to), and will always spit on you(because we are better than you), because OUR God is the only god so piss on yours.
Now the world was not a very big world in those days -consisting of the Mediteranean, north Africa and southern Europe. That is all the discovered lands. But the writers had enough foresight to say in no uncertain terms
A good *** is a dead ***. You would think they would learn, but they don't.

Well, the Bible predicted that people's love would grow cold (Matthew 24:12 in the Bible), that there would be earthquakes and wars (Matthew 24:7), and that there are people who will still refuse to see that God sent signs to fulfilling prophecy (John 12:37), so I'd say that the answers other people are giving here so far are further fulfillment of prophecy. (grin)

Bible was written such a long time ago and was written in such vague language that many past events can be interpreted as Bible prophecies. I always laugh at that. Especially, people ware waiting for judgment day, but for many civilizations judgment day came already. Example, Japan when it was hit by N. weapon and millions died, became crippled and the side effects are still there in the genes. For Mesoamerica, judgment day came when Europeans arrived and murdered millions of civilians just by their breath and the rest with their weapons. 90% of the mesoamericans died in 15 and 16th centuries. What would you call that?

Not those WITHIN the Bible. Books ABOUT prophecy OUTSIDE the Bible will lead to confusion and disillusionment.
