I live my life with the choices i make. I am the choice that i make. Simply. And no, i truly think there is no god. He is a invention ; created by Man and for Man.
Has for the dying part, i'm afraid i just don't know...No one has came back to life to tell us what is death like. So i guess i'll see when it happens. There might be absolutely nothing after life you know. Don't be afraid to imagine that possibility. ON the other hand, when i die, i would like to go back to the Earth. Somehow becoming part of it. I guess i'll cross that brigde when i get there.
peace.
We should all simply live a life with no regrets.

Distinctions are important here.
People might believe that there is no active God currently monitoring the universe but they'll usually agree that the universe was created by God.
And yes the Bible is false. But neither of these beliefs have anything to do with what happens when you die. That is a completely separate process that has nothing to do with God or the Bible.
When you die, nothing may happen, it's just like putting out a light bulb; or you may become a spirit, or your energy may simply be recycled and used again. A lot of possibilities.
Why would any of them require personal intervention by God?
It's pretty vain to think that of everything that dies every second, all over the universe, humans get some special treatment. Hand-delivered invitation? Lame.

Whether you believe in God and the bible, or buddha or jehovah or anyone else, why life your life to prepare for death? Why use a reason like, it will get me into heaven, or I will be rewarded upon death for the good I've done, to DO the actual good deeds. I personally believe in god, whoever that person may be, but I think that if you believe there is a higher power watching you at all times, then won't he/she/whoever KNOW that you're just giving time or money to charity to get into heaven, or even worse, to get a "good place" in heaven. Ultimately, as someone who continues to question faith, in all forms, I believe it doesn't matter what happens after death, if there's a heaven, I hope I've thought enough of my fellow man to be "worthy" of it, but isn't it hard to spend your life preparing for another one? preparing for life after death. Wouldn't it be far more in God's plan to be charitable in all forms because everyone deserves to be happy and healthy, and not because YOU think you'll then deserve something better once you die? but who knows what happens next? no one's ever come back to tell us.

I think once you REACH death, your consciousness just seeks to exist and you as a personality just...disappear. However, the process of death is longer than people realize--even after your heart stops beating your brain does continue to function for several minutes. Hypoxic euphoria has been reported in people who were drowning or started to pass out in high altitude--essentially that means, under some dying circumstances when a lack of oxygen is at play, you feel profoundly happy.
Once your consciousness is gone, then you rejoin the incredible "life will out" process that is the Earth. Whether you are buried or cremated and scattered or whatever, what is left of your life will feed other life. I've always really liked the phrase "pushing up daisies" and hope other people use it after I die.

I don't believe that anything happens after death. I may have romantised ideas about joining my loved ones in another place but I don't feel the need to believe in a God or tolerate the belligerant preachings of the cloth to achieve this.
I live my life as well as I can (in the do unto others sense) and will go to my grave with no regrets

Anjel, no one knows what happens after death. Not you, not I. We can only speculate. Those who believe that the Bible is the word of God say that they will continue on in an afterlife. Those of us who don't believe in an afterlife say that we will cease to be. Much like before we were born, we will simply not exist.
To an atheist, ceasing to be is not frightening. It's simply the way of things. Many of us find the thought of eternal life to be unbearable. Not because we are unhappy with our lives, but for different reasons. Personally, I find the thought of living forever to be boring and dreary. I'm quite happy with the normal human lifespan. That's enough for me.

I feel that when I die that's it. And about my life, it makes everything seem kind of trivial when I really stop and think about it so I try to not think about it. For me, the thing that makes me happiest is to make others that are close to me happy, but I'm sure some who don't believe in God are made happy by doing things that would otherwise be considered sins. So I think for some people it kinda justifies their bad behavior, because it doesn't matter any way, but for me its just trying to make my life the best it can be (by making others' better). I try not to think about the end, and just try to focus on the now.

I'm an agnostic. Here's what I know....life is energy and energy changes form. I think death is a transition of your life energy. Maybe that means that energy is transferred into the soil as nutrients, maybe something on a grander scale. I don't know. Bottom line though, is because I don't know, my mission is to find the things in life that bring me peace, happiness, and pleasure and focus on those things.

I wish I could answer your question, I do believe in God, not in religion. I believe that its a mystery, but friend(My God) will be there and help me through it. Hopefully it will look like a nice coffee shop where I will be able to talk to lots of people and make lots of friends.

I'm a non believer, I think when you are gone, you are gone, nothing left, so make the most of the short time you have on this planet, try to be kind whenever possible and hope that your fellow man will do likewise, whatever colour of beliefs he/she may have..
However, Religion is the cause of most if not all wars. but thats another debate.
