Is it an office position? If so, dress to impress. If it is in the factory part, dress upscale but not over the top. You can be undressed and lose the opportunity, but you won't lose the job if you are overdressed. Over the top is a better way to go. You are showing them that you are trying to put your best on for them. Nothing slinky or low cut, just classy.

If it is for an office job in a factory, then wear a business suit - skirt or pant suit. If it is for a position in the factory itself (say working on an assembly line), then wear what you would wear to chuch on a Sunday evening.

Always, always, always, Dress up. This means a pants suit. As a Human Resources Rep. I would look at you in a positive way. If you show up in Khakis or Jeans, I wouldn't have a very long interview with you. No matter how well you spoke. Appearances do matter.....

For the type of position you are seeking, I suggest that you wear something business casual. Such as, a nice pair of slacks and a cute button down shirt. The shirt can be short sleeves as I truly believe it would not make much of a difference to the potential employer. Ensure you do not wear anything too tight, too low cut, too short, etc. I wear a lot of clothes from Limited, Express, Gap and sometimes NY&Co...depending upon what they have that is appealing to me.

As a rule of thumb, dressing in a suit for an interview wouldn't do you any harm. You must be able to capture the tailored look, but in a feminine manner. Double breasted in navy or black, perhaps softened with a scarf rolled under the collar, its a classic which will never be out of style...

Personally, I believe you should dress professionally no matter what the job is. You want to make a good, lasting impression on the interviewer.

Nice khaki pants with a sleeved blouse would be appropriate. I'd also carry a blazer just in case the interview is a bit formal than you expect.

A skirt would be fine. Don't go in shorts though, even if it is hot.

I think a pair of khaki pants and a nicer shirt would work. Good luck!
