Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 3 years and we have a 19 month old son we do plan on being together the rest of our lives but he doesn't ever see us getting married. I am okay with that as long as we our in love and have the commitment. Is this wrong? Should he and I WANT to get married?

Essa there is nothing that says that the two of you need ever get married providing you both are happy with the living arrangement as it is. There are plenty of common law relationships that last a lot longer then a lot of marriages that I know. There is nothing wrong with the way you live and so you should feel no pressure from society of anyone else to marry.

My red flag when up when you said that "he doesn't see us getting married" That means to me that he doesn't want to marry you. If he would have said "I don't see us getting married now but I do in the future" that would have been different. And you say that you're okay with that? That's seem odd to me. Why not make it official and get married if you want to spend the rest of your lives togther? I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years and we are planning to get married in a within the next 2 years.

if u plan on being together forever than so be it. marriage is a sign of trust, a commitment, proof to each other that you being together forever is a certainty. so you dont hve to. but if ur really sure that it'll last forever, then why not? although 15 years down the road if ur still togther, think of a good answer for you children, lol.

It is all a personal choice. As long as you two have the commitment and are happy and don't mind not being married, then why get married? Why fix something that ain't broke?

I've always said
When did having kids become less of a responsibility than getting married....

I usually say that too couples with kids that are breaking up though

Marriage has become a punishment down the line in case of a break up rather than a foundation for a family.....

There is nothing about a marriage that makes someone more committed. Whatever works for the two of you...

I say if you and him are happy just the way things are right now, then enjoy it. You don't have to get married.
