You go to Heaven if Jesus wishes to save you and you go to hell if not. He came to save everyone though, even the most horrendous of sinners, so anyone who believes that His death and resurrection are fully sufficient is going to say "heaven."
As far as "many good people" going to hell, I don't know that they do. A God who is merciful enough to forgive all the crimes you listed -- and He is -- is surely merciful enough to forgive "many good people" for whatever "little" or "minor" sins you might think they have committed.
However, you seem to miss the point that some people may actively reject God. He might be saying, "Hi and welcome to Heaven!" and they may be responding, "No thanks - I don't want anything to do with YOU."
In which case they're taking themselves to hell, quite willingly, right?

All of us are born under the law (Galatians 4: 4&5) - so when we die we will be judged according to it. However, God has provided a pardon through Christ - he took the penalty and provided a way -- since being judged by the law is hopeless for everyone. Nobody's perfect, right?
Any sin is enough to separate you from God - everyone needs forgiveness.
So, if you did all of those horrible things - and repented - yes, God would forgive you because Jesus had already paid the penalty for those things. Why pay twice?
I don't think people who live a life like that repent in the end very often. Sin choices change us and I believe even if you think you will repent later - you won't. Murder, etc. really change you into someone else and you don't think the same afterward. Murder is such a serious offense to God because we are made in His image and we are so valuable to Him.
So, personally because of the salvation God has provided - yes - but don't bank on it simply because sin changes who you are...........and what you will choose to do.
Excellent question. Your sin issue must be addressed.

A) Heaven
Explaination - God's rules are accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour and you will be saved... Everyone has that choice it is "worldly wisdom" that keeps us from choosing God because God's ways aren't easily understood or rationalised by that... The only reason we were made was to have RELATIONSHIP with God. If you believe that is why we here then it all starts making sense but if you have your own idea that we are here to ensure that humans progress or evolve further then you won't be able to easily understand, that God is Holy, God has set the rules out and has them in plain sight... He wants relationship with you, and will forgive all your tresspasses, and your advocate Jesus will stand up for you on judgement day... If you don't choose Jesus you are on your own, and your lawyer's not good enough to stop you going to hell...

No one is "good" to God since we have all sinned and fallen short of his high standard. Nevertheless, he is a God of love as well as a God of judgment. Mix the two and what you get is mercy. Someone has to pay the price for the murderer/rapist's crimes. You obviously know that, because a sense of justice is etched on your heart. That's God's fingerprint on you. The price has to be paid, and it has been paid already. Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) paid the price for all the sin of the world, past present and future, when he offered himself to God as a replacement. He stood in the murderer/rapist's place so that one day, if that man's heart softens and he comes to realize the severity of what he's done, he can be offered a second chance. He still pays the earthly consequences. He's still in prison. But he doesn't have to go to hell if he chooses to accept Yeshua as substitute. Justice is served because the payment has been made, and at the same time love prevails...a life is changed...a second chance is given even though it is not deserved. When the man dies, if he has made that decision and given his life over to the Lord, he will go to heaven. Yes.

The bible says we are all sinners in need of a savior. Jesus is the only one who can save you. The smart thing to do is get saved when you are young and live a Christian life always. Heaven will be your reward and what ever you did that was kind, and beneficial to the kingdom of God, you will be rewarded for in heaven. Someone who rejects God and for what ever reason does many, many bad things will have a hard time ever feeling repentant for them. If however at some point in his life, he is very sorry for what he did and wants to ask God to forgive him and he asks Jesus to become his personal savior, he can be saved. The price Jesus paid for our sins was sufficient to cover a multitude of sins. God knows your heart and if you are sincere of not. There is no fooling God. A person who waits until they are old to accept Jesus is very foolish, they could die before they get old. God is loving, and fair and wishes all would come to Him.

You're assuming this would ever happen. Most people die the same way they live, and the same person they always were. A corrupt and evil person will usually refuse to submit to God even if it means they go to hell. Some live hell on earth for this very reason. Being legitimately sorry seems out of character.
But if the person wanted God to cleanse them and change them to a better person, he would. Man would most likely be in heaven, but without the rewards he would have gotten if he'd served God in the first place.

Lotta apple azsez up in heiagh.
It is all governed by a person's conscience.
If you are the old fart in prison who is truly sorry for what he did-- and the regret is to himself and not to a god or to a fear or to a person- if he knows in his conception of a soul that he is sorry for what he did..well, then he is on the road to forgiveness.
Ya gotta remember it is all governed by the conscience and even when he is sorry and repentant a clean or cleaned conscience will tell a man which way to go and what he has to do to be clear of his crimes. This can range from a life of hell to a brief reprieve or a call to the confessional.
Bottom Line:
Belief- Conscience:
Your own conception of right and wrong!

You would go to Hell, the way you have it written. You cannot just ask for forgivness, that's the first part, you have to accept Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour. " No one can come to me but through my son". The reason so many "good" people go to hell is they never accepted Jesus as their personal saviour. There is an old saying, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions". This means you can live your life cleanly, heck, live it exactly as Jesus did, but unless you accept Jesus into your heart as your personal saviour, you are hell bound. You may think "what a crock, I killed 200 hundred people and raped puppies, I know I am going to hell". Well God is merciful and very forgiving. He sent his only son as a sacrifice for each and every one of us so we can all sit by his side at Judgement day. All you have to do is accept His Son as your saviour and try to live a clean life. He knows we are not perfect and accepts that, that is why He sent His Son to bleed for us. Asking for forgiveness is the first step in the right direction, but to make it to Heaven, you have to accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal saviour.

That just doesnt seem fair does it? Thats exactly what Jesus did for us, He in the form of a human being descened from heaven lived a perfect and innocent life and died a brutal death for us sinner so that we someday may have an opportunity to be with him in heaven. Im so thankful for that and that none of us deserves to go to heaven weither were killers, rappers, and drug addicts or normal good hearted human beings. Were all the same in Gods eyes and if a murderer really and truthfully was sorry for his sinns and repented I believe he would go to heaven. Its not what we have done in our past its what we learn from and do in our future.

Well I can assure you you won't go to hell and burn forever and ever because mankind does not have a soul that lives forever and ever. You pro bally won't go to Heaven either, only 144,000 from mankind will go to heaven. Your best chance is for everlasting life on the earth (Psalm37:29). God didn't form the earth to be destroyed he created it to be inhabited (Isaiah45:18). That is why the earth will be here forever ((Ecc.1:4). The bible teaches that there will one day be a new earth. This does not mean that the actual globe will be destroyed (remember Ecc1:4), but that evil mankind will be destroyed (Prov.2: 21-22).
