I really don't know the little differences between: Baptist, Freewill Baptist, Church of Christ, Methodist, Calvary Temple. I'm really wanting to find a church, but don't want to church hop. I was raised in a non-denominational church in CA, but am now living in the deep south of MS. Please any help would be great.

Remember, “god” is nothing more than a nonsense word made up by man to explain away the things we can’t yet understand.

The Kingdom Hall.. is not a church to be exact.. It is a gathering place for Jehhova Witnesses.. There is a vast difference between the church and the gathering of J.W.'s There are very different beliefs, morals, values, ways of doing things. It is not the same, though some will claim it is.. Your faith is something that has to be worked out on your own. Your boyfriend might want to be a better father, a better husband, a better many things. and thats good.. im glad to hear that he wants to be.. thats honorable.. but remember.. his faith and your faith is a seperate walk.. Whether you believe in God or you believe in a coming God..thats up to you. My suggestion is that you go to google and look up the two different faiths.. the faith of a Jehhova Witness.. and Christianity.. A church or a Kingdom Hall is simply a building.. its the beliefs you want to know about... search them up.. even.. talk to a pastor.. do some reasearch.. explore.. Find out what you believe.. for yourself... you have to walk out your faith.. whatever that may be.. every single day of your life.. Dont start attending one place just because he is.. take time to figure it out for yourself... It may come down to a point where you and him just dont believe the same things in the end and its probable that it wont work if you dont believe similar things..

The Churches you mentioned are pretty much the same, they have the hell fire and heavenly bliss teachings.
I think the Methodist more than the others is non denominational Church. They don't care so much what you believe. However, they do believe in the trinity.
Which forms a central part of their doctrine. so do the others.
So actually you could pretty much go to any of them and believe basically the same way.
They are also very similar to muslim teachings in heven and hell where the muslim seem to center their worship around the hell doctrine. The Christians around the heaven one.
The only religion that is basically different is Jehovah's Witnesses who believe that death is the end of everything.
The paradise earth is the reward for most humans and a small class will go to heaven to rule with Christ Jesus over the earth. But no one is sent to a place of firey torture forever.
Nor do they believe it is okay to fight in wars.

I can't go through the entire list you gave and list all of the differences. If I listed all of the differences I know of, my answer would be too long.

I do ask that you please consider the Church of Christ. The Church of Christ wishes to follow only the Bible for our doctrine. We feel the word of God is sufficent for doctrine, teaching, correction and reproof (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and there is not one man-made doctrine we can add that will improve on what God has given.

The first link below will take you to a free 6-lesson video Bible Study. Compare the things we teach to the Bible! If we teach what is in the Word of God, accept it. If the things we teach do not agree with the Bible, then reject them!

Any church should not mind such a comparison to Scriptures! In fact they should encourage it! (Acts 17:11)

Every denomination has different ideas of how their religion should be observed.

The Bible states that Christ established ONE church, He did not create 400+ denominations.

The church that Christ established is documented by name in the New Testament. It is called the Church of Christ (Romans 16:16)

See source for more information.
