A 10 year age difference can make a lot of people (family, friends, etc.) uncomfortable or uneasy. But if you're happy with him, and he's treating you well, I say go for it. Age matters, but if your maturity levels are similar I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck!

There are lots of reasons for someone to have issues with a relationship like this. My personal one would be why is he even looking at 20 somethings who are barely 20 something. I know of a relationship where a 30 year is dating a 19 year old and that seems to be the oldest girl he has dated lately. The last girl he was with was 17 and to me that is an issue that is going to have to be dealt with sooner or later. But hey maybe it is just me

My boyfriend is 13 years older than me and we've been together for 2 years. My family is edgy over the age difference because they don't want me to get hurt. It may be the same for you. I love my boyfriend. As long as both of you are happy and treating each other well, then I say age doesn't matter that much. Just take it slow and don't rush anything. Good luck and happy wishes.

Well my parents are 10 years apart, and its been great for them. But more than 10 years is kinda weird.
The older you get, the better the age difference, you know it doesn't sound so weird (like 5 &15 compared to 25 &35). And if you really love each other, then who cares what everyone else thinks.

No...it's not bad. I've been with my partner, who is 38 years old and I'm 22, for 4 years. Everything has been wonderful. Sure, we've had our ups and downs, but we're still going strong. Also, because you're young, you're gonna get alot of crap from all the people who know him. He's gonna have to stick up for you. I went through that for about 2 months. I faught back. People tried to break us up and talk crap about me. They didn't know me. NOw look at them, always calling me for help on their relationships. Blah!!!
It doesn't matter what people think about the age difference. All that matters is that you two care about each other. Tell those people giving you crap to get over it because nothing they say or do will break you two apart.
You guys will get through it. My partner and I did. 4 years and 16 years apart. Still going strong.

Your young so being with an older guy makes you feel special in a way. Honestly I believe that if you love someone age shouldn't matter. If your with him because you guys like going out and having fun thats okay. My advice is to slow down with him try to see if you two can be happy for the rest of your life. If he makes you happy and treats you right age has nothing to do with it.

As long as both of you are happy (and neither of you is being taken advantage of), then it should not matter what other people think. Eventually these "few people" will come around and see that you two care about each other and are happy, and the issues will disappear.

People will always have issues, whether there is an age difference, race difference, religion, etc. You must me comfortable with the age difference because it is you and he who make the relationship not anyone else!

Hi,
what does it really matter - if you are both over the legal age of consent and are both happy together then why even ask?
Does it really matter what other people say - will it change your opinion and end it all if someone said "no its wrong"???
Personally i say, go ahead, if you are happy then grab it with both hands
Enjoy and Good Luck
:-)

Age is not nearly as important as life experience, future goals and compatibility.
I've dated 13 years difference in both directions. As long as you both don't mind the difference, no one else should either...
