I have a 5 month old female puggle. Last night she began to shake her head as if she had Parkinson's disease. This is the second time this happened. The first time was also at night but she returned to normal the next day. This time there were additional symptoms. She had a hard time standing, her legs were weak. She vomitted and later peed on her self. What is wrong with my baby? Can anyone offer any advice.

I don't believe that dogs get Parkinsons, but they can have seizures and such.
I would have her evaluated by the vet.

I have a Manchester terrier who did this when he was young. The shaking. I told people that my dog acts like he has Parkinsons Disease. He acted like he was cold, when it was even summer at the time.
I looked on the internet with questions and found out my dog had symptoms of a low thyroid. I noticed his hair was thin in patches and his fur was drier and coarse than normal. I did some talking with a W.Jean Dodds,DVM. She told me what kind of test to have done and I also sent the results to her and she told me what was wrong and what pills to take for it. My vet said he didn't have low thyroid and she said he did. She's been a Vet for many years and she does even charge for reading the results and telling you information. My dog is doing fine now. His hair looks good and he doesn't shake like before. Hope this has helped you. If you like to email her, give me your email and I will tell you how to get in touch with her?

Parkinson's, No but, you need to have a vet do a complete evaluation of the dog. Sounds like a seizure to me.

Sounds like the dog had a siezure. In any case you are going to have to go to your vet for further blood work. Small dogs have anxiety anyway and tend to shake because of it. but the other siymptoms? She was unable to react and lost all control over her muscles, so sounds like siezures.

No dogs cant have Parkinsons but they sure can have seizures. I'd get her into your vets and have her evaluated soon.

It's possible that it's a genetic problem due to the fact that he is the result of a mixed breeding. You should see your vet and tell him what's going on. Call your breeder and ask if she has seen it before, or if she has any idea what might be going on..
