How could a forgiving god make somebody burn for eternity for earthly sins? Some people say hell is really on earth. Hell might be, being reincarnated as a starving child in Africa or a child laborer in Asia. hmmmm, so many mysteries.

God might exist, but Hell is definitly a human invention. Its made to scare off believers into obeying the sacred text and fearing for their eternal souls.

Fear isn't used by all religions. Buddhism and many oriental religions have no concepts for hell at all.

This one makes me upset. In the bible Jesus talked about being sent into the lake of fire etc. I ask the same thing. I know a lot of atheists, and stuff, and they are good people, I can't help but wonder, what if it's true, and they will go to Hell. Why would God do that? It's not very fair, but because I don't think it's fair doesn't mean that it's not what happens. I have read several several testimonies by people who have claimed that they have seen heaven/hell, and I still don't get why God would do it...He created it for Satan and the fallen angels right, then why would people be able to be led there? Did God make a mistake, or just missed a minor detail, or does he really have absolutely zero tollerance for disobedience?

Yes there is, but not now, I have done study on this. I do not accept anything any preachers tells me. I read the Word and ask God and wait. (sometimes years) But when i get the answer i know that i know. Here is your answer. In John 8:44 Christ is telling them that if they are not doing Gods way (i.e. right) then they are following the devil. (their father) and for those who follow the devil and never (even when they have been proved wrong in their way) choose Gods way will end up suffering the same fate as their father, their leader, their god-hell. Matt 25:41 tell us that God prepared hell for the devil and his angels NOT man, it is not Gods desire that any man should end up in hell. 2 peter 3:9 tells us this. But some will be so full of van rebellious pride that they will continue to give Him the finger until it is to late. At that time hell will become a reality for them. But a loving God will give them every chance to choose life. Notice i did not say earn it just choose it. Religious people teach you have to DO something to earn it. So they spend their life "witnessing" to others on all the list of things you have to do to be a Christian. All that crap is distractions form what we really need, i.e. a relationship with Jesus.

Think about it.
God is love....The wages of sin is death ...
If you die you have paid the price of sinning
Why would a god of love punish you forever when you have paid the price ????
Ecclesiastes 9:5 the dead are conscience of nothing...What would be the point of eternal torment if you won't know it is happening ????
Acts 2:27,31&32 Jesus was raised up from hades (hell). So jesus was in hell. Would he have been tormented for sins if he was perfect ??
Hell is the grave where we all go to await resarection.
God promises Resarection on earth not reincarnation Acts 17:31

Sin is the base of all the problems of people and the world today and from the beginning. God hates sin. God is going to destroy all sin in His own time. If God did not, then he would be an unjust God. Just the same as if you break the law, your guilty until you pay the penalty, if the judge lets you off, for a crime you committed, the he would be an unjust judge.

There was a book almost included in the bible called the apocolypse of peter that included an answer to that. It was said that if all the voices in heaven cried out for mercy upon those suffering in hell that god would take those souls in hell back into his bosom.

The answer is NO. The original Greek and Hebrew words show that 'Hell' is simply a another word for 'Sheol' or 'Grave'. Job prayed to go here in his suffering. After suffering so badly, would you then pray to be burned alive for eternity? I hope not. The Bible says that there is no activity here.( Ecclesiastes 9:5,6,10.) God states at Exodus 34:6,7 that he is merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. Would you torture your own children in burning fire for their wrong doing? I doubt it. For one to say that they would not, and that God would, would then be implying that they (the created) are more righteous than God (the creator).-James 1:13.

Yes there is an actual place called Hell, and it was never intended for any human person to live there. It is a lot worse than anything bad on this earth. God is so forgiving and merciful. He also is a gentleman and does not force anyone to love him (that wouldn't be true love anyway).
So if someone chooses not to believe in Him and love him, as he created us to do, He respects their choice. Going to hell is not His choice, its ours.

Yes, Hell exists. Revelation 21:8 sums it up nicely.

The concept of Hell is immoral and sending somebody to it would be, itself, a sin. Any sane government in the world understands the principle of reasonable punishment. Not even Sadam Hussen would send somebody to Hell.

Therefore, the only reasonable conclusion is that the concept of Hell was invented by people to scare other people into believing.
