There's a lot of verses that tell us that. Here are some of them:
Matthew 24:36-39 '24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.'
Matthew 24:42 'Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour you Lord doth come'
Matthew 25:13 'Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.'
Mark 13:35-37 'Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Matthew 24:36-42
“Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.
Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming."
This would imply that god the jesus and god the father are 2 different entities, destroying the whole notion of a trinity.

Matthew 25:13
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
1 Thessalonians 5
1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

I can tell you that we already missed it by almost 2,000 years, because there are over a dozen verses telling us that it would happen in the lifetime of some of the people living when Jesus was around.

Jesus was speaking to His disciples when He was explaining the timing of His return...
however, Jesus said 2 verses earlier .... in mat. 24:34,
that when all these things begin to happen (prophecies He spoke of), then KNOW ......
"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
so we will know the generation upon whom the ends of the earth have come.
BUT....
this isn't "judgment day".
when Jesus comes in the clouds & raptures His saints...
after going to the battle of armageddon, the world goes into the Millinnial Reign of Jesus Christ, lasting 1000 years.
Judgment Day ... the Great White Throne of Judgment (called, "the 2nd death") happens at the end of that 1000 years.
those raptured 1000 years previously will not have to endure the 2nd death.
no one who goes through the 2nd death will enter heaven.
those who go to the Great White Throne are those whose names were NOT written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
they will have to account for every word out of their mouth & every action taken while they lived upon the earth. it will be determined by Jesus Christ at that time as to the degree of Hell you will endure for eternity.

1Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
4But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. 7For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
