NO WAY!!!

Deuteronomy 31: 8--"And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed."

Jesus also said that His true believers would be persecuted in this world but that we could take courage because He had conquered the world.

That being said, MM's post was creepy. It is obvious that she is completely unhinged. It is sad that such people put forth the effort to speak for their organization because they are the ones that make people think that the organization is full of wackos, and that is just not true. My parents are active JWs for 35 years. Although, I do not agree with their doctrine, my parents are neither wackos nor unintelligent. If I were an active JW, I would be furious with MM's comments because they reflect badly on the organization and everyone in it.

That being said, for those of us who know law and politics, those comments weren't just over the top, they were completely ridiculous to any intellectual reading them. First of all, in order to be charged with manslaughter, it must be PROVEN in a court of law that someone caused the unintentional death of another person--PHYSICAL DEATH people. Spiritual death doesn't count. There is no body and there is no proof that the "victim" would or would not recieve eternal life irregardless of whether they listened to the WT or to real Christians.

Secondly, it is the first Amendment of the US Constitution that gives ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS the right to freedom of speech and religion. This was enacted into our political system more than 100 years before Charles Russell was even conceived.

People, learn your law, learn your history, learn about your government and learn the truth about what God's word truly says before you start spouting off and proving your ignorance for all to see on YA.

It just shows the fruit of the watchtower. It doesn't make me nervous either way I win because of Jesus. She'll be held accountable for those very words.

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Rom. 12:19

Wise people store up knowledge, But the mouth of the foolish is near destruction. Prov. 10:14

Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool. Prov. 10:18

Well I looked at the answer, and while a bit severe, I think it is clear the person was using something Jesus was quite fond of, an illustration. As far as she is concerned, people who say, what are in her mind, misleading facts about what she feels is the way to salvation, are helping to ruin other's chances.

Y!A is here so people can give their OPINIONS. Just as people such as yourself are allowed to state your opinions, this person was allowed to state theirs.

Meanwhile, more and more in the news I have heard of sites that put up inaccurate information being forced to be pulled down, so the poster might not have been far off what will soon happen.

No - Jehovah's Witnesses love to dish it out (and ask us to look at their links), but they really can't take it when others disagree and, even worse, provide evidence.

They have a persecution complex and think the world hates them - this being evidence, of course, that they are the only true religion. Don't encourage them!

Best thing to do is just LOVE THEM and PRAY FOR THEM. Show Christlike compassion and never give up on them.

I've always known Satan inspires their hatred but now it's obvious for the world to see.

Thanks, misplaced mother, for showing nonbelievers your religion's true face.

No.

True Christians (such as Jehovah's Witnesses) never resort to violence, even when instructed to do so by secular governments.

(2 Corinthians 10:3-4) We do not wage warfare according to what we are in the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly

(Luke 6:27-29) I [Jesus] say to you who are listening, Continue to love your enemies, to do good to those hating you, to bless those cursing you, to pray for those who are insulting you. To him that strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also

Similarly, true Christians (such as Jehovah's Witnesses) understand that the verbal, virtual, and actual persecution by the "evil slave class" cannot be successful. Honestly, even reasonable Pharisees understood that much!

(Acts 5:38-39) Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, you may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.

(Isaiah 54:17) Any weapon whatever that will be formed against you will have no success

(Matthew 24:48-51) But if ever that evil slave should ...start to beat his fellow slaves... the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know, and will punish him with the greatest severity

Well... the manslaughter comment is over the top... but, what about that religion isn't over the top, though...

In my opinion, the JWs theology is one of the most damaging cults out there...
