My 11 yr old neice wants a thong for her birthday. I dont know whether i should or not. i definatly have my doubts. should i fufill her wishes or not and if so, where do i find a young girl thong?

Wearing thong underwear is a sexual connotation. Underwear are essential thongs are not. I guess if you want to encourage her sexuality and sex appeal as marketing dictates to young innocent children robbing them of a childhood-and treading it up for a sexual creature purchase the thong.
If on the other hand you take the time to question would a health minded person want to promote being sexy to children or might that be the marketing manipulation of the sexual pervert disguised under the almighty sales $$$$ dollar.
Keep in mind that sexual perverts are THE MOST PREMEDITATED OF ALL CRIMINAL and they do work in marketing and in all areas.
Most importantly think back to when you were eleven and you will have your answer.

I have to be honest, I wouldnt do it! At 11 she is far too young to be wearing a thong although I bet a lot of her friends are wearing them already which is why she wants to. Peer pressure can be an awful thing.
Have a word with her mum to see if there is something else that is more appropriate for her age or her mum may say yes get some thongs for her.
Although it is nice that your niece has asked you to buy something so intimate for her, or is she asking you because she knows her mum will say no!

Absolutely not. She is much to young to wear something so provocative. Don't let her mention panty lines. Eleven year old girls should not care about them.
In addition, it would be completely inappropriate for an aunt to give her neice a gift that is so sexually suggestive.

Hell no! She's ELEVEN. You don't want to be one of those people that are just reinforcing the hypersexualization of kids who are waaaaay too young to even understand what all these trends are about vs. following the crowd. Not that she can't have cute panties, but she needs to know that certain things are appropriate when you hit a certain age.

Personally, I wouldn't buy it for her.
I wouldn't even think to ask for lingerie for my birthday now and I'm 26! That's something very personal for a girl. Not to mention the fact that she's 11 years old.
