First of all, what exactly is your question? Second of all, how old is this girl? Teenagers will do lots of things to test their parents, step or not... You are not her mom but your role is not to be her best friend either. Try to have an open ear if not an open mind.
As for her relationship with Hunter, you can never be sure of anything they have done, but be open with her and answer her questions honestly but DO NOT promise her that you wont share with her father unless it really is girly stuff youre not going to. Depending on how old she is, it might be time that you become her advocate and suggest they go on an semi- supervised or unsupervised date. (It will definately score you points with your step daughter). She is a teen and is likely a confused one, you really cant do much more than listen and try to be a good role model for her. Work with her other parents and together come up with universal dating rules and stick to them as a team, shes only going to get older and more prone to rebellion.

She probably picked a topic that she knew would get a "dramatic" reaction from you. Teenagers are like this. They like the shock value. If she was "coming out of the closet" I do not think it would have been handled in this manner. You have to learn not to react to this stuff but show her that you are there for her. If my daughter told me this, true or not, I would have asked her if she wanted to talk to me in private about the situation. Her reactions to that would tell me if I need to discuss in more detail or if she was just being *itchy that day. You have to learn how to control these situations instead of letting them control you. I have been through one teen age daughter and am on my second one now. It is no picnic and at times I want to run away from home.

Sounds as if she's testing the water to see how you accept things. It's not easy being a stepmom. Hang in there and just try being nice to her, be there for her when she needs you. That's about all you can do. Maybe she'll come around and you'll find it a surprise. Lots of luck.

This is a psichological problem.Your stepmother wasn't lieing when she said she's bisexual. But she regreted that she said that so she tried to cover it up with "It was a joke DUH",right? This is a moral problem that occurs from youngsters to old people. It really is the truth but she then tries to cever it up with the old saying "It was a joke"...So keep that in mind...stay away from her as much as you can...people with this problem can go beserk sometimes.
Good luck!

Not saying your step daughter is bisexual but, maybe she was just checking your reaction to her comment.
