Everyone who pays taxes - feeds these cops cloths their children and houses them -

Every citizen has a right to inspect the "work " of it's public servants

Your quite mistaken the SS beat people and then arrested them and dragged them off out of sight and then they killed them if they were lucky -

I Think that was wrong you know why?, because the man was not fighting back, i think the only time they should use it is if the guy is fighting back, or is resisting arrest....in this case the guy was already arrested, he was detained...all he needed to do was stand up. The guy at first was yelling "i have a medical condition". well obvisioulsly, he couldnt stand up, and the tasers wernt working so it has to be somthig else, nobodys going to sit there and take those tasers...
And ok, lets say that he really didnt have a medical condition, and he was just fine before then, but he was just acting up, and wanted attention/didnt want to go to jail...well the officers are trained professionals, they were there for apromiximately 10-15 minutes trying to get the guy to "stand up". well they could of requested for back up if they couldnt slid the man along while he was on his knees...and you know what, else i saw that looked un ~professional?....the failed to communicate with the detaine/the guy that was arrested, they dont know what was wrong with him, he could of been in an accident, and had trouble getting up or standing up on his own, they didnt help him up, they just simply told him to get up, and if he didnt they would taser him. they never asked questions to look into what the problem was...i would personaly sue those police officers that were involved, that boy has the whole school as witnesses.....

Without even seeing the link, my guess is that this is that annoying UCLA video.

Let me explain something to the overly liberal:

YOU HAVE NO CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO RESIST ARREST OR DISOBEY THE POLICE. There's your background.

The police use non-lethal (but painful) tactics to convince those idiotic enough to think they can disobey the police without repercussion. That's what it's there for. The longer this idiot sits here in the library (WHICH IS AGAINST THE RULES, I MIGHT ADD), the more crmies could possible go on without any police response, because the idiot won't get up off the ground here. This guy does not have any special card that says "does not have to obey UCLA rules", and as such is subject to police response.

As a sidenote, this guy is exaggerating his pain, as are most people who comment on the video "how much tasers hurt". Most people really have no clue. Having been hit by tasers 3 times, I can say that you can easily stand up and be escorted to a police cruiser should you want to. This guy didn't want to, so they hit him with it again.

You can discuss this till you turn blue. The cops pretty much do what ever they think they can get away with. I'm sure you can remember when a cop was there to help. Now just asking for help you risk getting shot.

Yes. When someone refuses to obey a lawful order of a police officer, the officer can legally use techniques, INCLUDING pain compliance, to gain control and compliance.

Having said that, what the officers did here LOOKS very bad, because the TASER was not effective, and they kept using it anyway instead of trying other tactics to gain compliance from a spoiled brat who didn't want to do as he was told by a legitimate authority.

What I saw was the end of the confrontation NOT how it began or why it escalated. Without the whole story, how can anyone judge?

in my college days this incident would have caused a riot, yet here a hundred sheep stand and watch. you can expect a lot more of this activity in the future. it will only get worse.

If this were an SS Stormtrooper, they'd have just shot his punk ***.

Probably would have been doing society a favor.
