what is the correct way to invite people to celebrate, after we are married?

Last year I went to two receptions for weddings that were held elsewhere. One the couple was married at the beach the other couple was married in Las Vegas. Both sent out invitations to the reception just as they would for a regular wedding. Only thing being that the reception was a week after the wedding. Still fun, still a celebration. Oh and at both receptions the bride wore her wedding dress again. I guess that means she got extra value out of that dress by being able to wear it twice....kinda cool.

You invite them to a reception to celebrate your marriage. You can even start it with saying
Joseph and Sarah were married at a private beachfront ceremony, Saturday June 1st at 2 pm.

Or if your parents are paying, just the way you would have to the ceremony
Mr and Mrs Bride's parents request the honour of your presence at a reception celebrating the marriage of
Bride
to
Groom
at time, date, location.

You can do any style of reception you want though. You could have a casual party or a more formal reception. Have pictures up from your wedding or a slide show to show people. Destination weddings are difficult for people to attend, but they still want to know you are married and celebrate with you. You can order invites anywhere.

You can look up wedding announcements online or just find regular party invitations--depending on the style you would like.

If you wish to hold a wedding reception when you get back from your wedding, then you send out invitations just as you would if you were inviting them to the wedding, too. The only difference is that they're only invited to the reception.

Hold the sort of party you would like to hold, be it a catered meal and dancing or an informal pizza party in your living room, or something in between. Just be sure you have your pictures and/or video available for your guests to see.

my husband and i got married in hawaii and only had our immidiate family with us, when we returned 3 weeks later we invited people to celebrate our marriage. thats what the invitation said. We also wanted presents of cause, so we made it look like a wedding shower ;) it was great. we had everyone over casually in our home and had food and music. it was great and fairly inexpensive way to make people feel like a part of the event. we also had pictured of teh wedding on the big screen. and it was decorated as a looout part.

You just send an invitation/wedding announcement. They generally read something like, "Jim and Suzy were wed on {date} in Hawaii (or wherever). The honor of your presence is requested at a reception to celebrate their union on {date} at {time}, {location}" They can be as fancy or casual as you want. You can do anything from a formal wedding reception to a pool party or BBQ.

Good luck!

Invite them to the celebration of the wedding you had on a particular date. You could pick a hall, or use someone's home with food and drink.

My cousin and her husband got married in Hawaii and when they returned they had a reception in a hotel it was very nicely catered and they had a huge projector screen where we all watched their wedding it was really nice.
