I went to visit my mom this weekend. I just got a new/used BMW. I showed it to her and instead of saying it was nice etc, she said it was too small for her taste and she would want a bigger car. Is she trying to out do me? or did she really dislike my car. It is a BMW 330i whats not to like?

It probably is to small for her taste, but if you have the BMW no matter how big a car she gets she can't out do you.

Sounds to me like she was looking at it as if the car was hers and saying it wasn't her taste. I don't think it was meant as an insult to you, but just her way of saying it's not her kind of car.

kind of serves you right for trying to show off stuff to show off stuff, why should it matter if your mom isn't extatic over your new car. I'm not into expencive cars I won't react overly excited when someone shows stuff off just to get the ooos and ahhhhs. drive the car because it's the car you want don't think that everyone else has to love your car as well. it's just a car.

Speaking as a mother, did you stop to think that maybe she's concerned for your safety? Maybe she's afraid that you'll drive too fast and that it wouldn't be a sturdy car in case of a wreck.
