We all have needs and wants but what's more important in life? Our primary needs to survive of course. I don't think a bf is a need for survival. You don't need a bf, but a good one is always nice to want or have. You have to follow your heart and make yourself happy before becoming involved with another. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a strong, single, independent woman.

Some girls feel the need that they have to have one or they wont be popular while other girls don't care about boys and focus on knowledge and Collage plans. So girls don't really need a boyfriend and if they want kids they can adopt to.

I'm single and sometimes it can feel like everyone else has a boyfriend and its lonely sometimes.
But then I think, all I need is my family and my friends! All my friends who have boyfriends have cried when they got dumped, or he said something to them, or they had an argument, or they ignored each other or whatever. Not to mention all the stuff like puzzling over what to get them for Valentines Day, always fussing about what to wear on dates and stuff... they so aren't worth the hassle!
So, no!

Need! very overrated word. Better question would be ," do girls want Bf? And the answer is yes they do. It's nature.

Not really but it would be nice to have them around. We all want somebody to love and care for. And lets not forget passion its the best. I lost that but I hope I can gain a new love in my life. Besides that I've always been a strong independent person.

No- more women need to learn to be independent on their own and not depend so much on a guy. Men are nice to have around (most of the time) but too many women let their man define them and they have no idea who they are without one. Learn who you are first, then find a man that compliments that!

Yes, everyone needs that someone that they can count on no matter what. They tell you what you need to hear and they help you when its not what you wanted to hear. They keep you happy just by calling on a rainy day to ask did you know its raining. Its good for your soul to have one and when you find one you will wonder why it took so long to relise you needed one.

:[ i wish i could be stable enough not to want one, but i do. but no i don't really need one. without a guy i can grow up to be much stronger and independent. but hey i'm 15, it's natural. but once i get older i'm going to start being a little more mature and a little more dependent on myself. so no. girls don't need guys to make them happy. only you make yourself happy. :]

we dont NEED them, but they are nice to have. companionship is very important to women, its nice to have someone to share our dreams and thoughts with. before i got married there were many spells when i didn't have a boyfriend, and yes i got lonely, but ibecame very independant and like myself that way. it was hard to find a man who would accept that. again, everyone enjoys companionship, but you can get by if you cant find the right kind.
