I am young and do not wish to be tied down. But there is this guy that i am physically attracted to and i was wondering if it would be okay to be Friends with Benefits. I do not want to be in a relationship but i still want the perks. i am 17 and want to keep my options open. would it be ok for me to do this? or would i be considered a whore at school?

Not only would it be ok, it would be better to do this than to have a boyfriend at your age. Your question shows real maturity, and it's good that you're thinking this way. Good for you. Just remember to be safe, you should use one of the many forms of birth control and also insist that he use a condom every time. As long as you do this, it should work out well.

You are too young to have a serious relationship, and really if you were my child I would recommend that you not have any serious relationships and that you keep your options open until you are done with college and working on your career. Until then, have a friend with benefits or two, and just casually date different people.

As far as what others think, what does that really matter. People who aren't as mature as you may think bad about you, but what are they really to you? If more people would wait until they are mature enough to have a relationship before having them, then those relationships would be more rewarding overall and marriages that resulted from them would be more stable and more likely to last.

I dont think thats a whore because you to decide to be friend with benefits i mean aslong as its not cheating i would say its not wrong if your single and he single but neither wants to tied down but still wanna have 'FUN' go for it. just make sure you trust him and he not the type of guy to go spreading it around school and stuff .just if it doesnt work out for long try not to make every guy you meet later on down the line a friends with benefits you only to that every to every blue moon. a the only way you be the whore of the school is unless you do that with quite a handful of guys at your school.

If word got out, you would be considered a whore. I would suggest that you hold off on this friends with benefits thing. How are your grades? Maybe you should focus on that and getting into college instead of sex.

Good luck

If you let it get out or the guy is familiar with your other friends, then yes, you could be interpreted as easy at school.

FWB's work best in situations where the both of you are not familiar with each other's friends.

If you're close with him and he won't let the whole world know. I've had a few of those and it never got around. Just don't get emotionally attached or you'll end up a mess.

Benefits as in using him? Just for the goods? Suppose it was the other way around? Suppose you were serious and he just wanted the benefits? Your 17 and love is not in your vocabulary as you explain it - and of course, it would be a school whore - every one line up please?

At 17, the only "options" you shoul dbe considering are what colleges you would like to attend.

That's your call; it's your body, your emotions, your life. It can be a sticky situation; both people have to be pretty mature to handle it without entanglements.

Just keep it quiet, it'll be like your little secret, y'know?

Thats what I did with a friend of mine for a few months!
