I've noticed that most fundamentalist preachers focus on the secret sins of their own heart. How many have we seen leading the charge against homosexuality for instance who turn out to be in homosexual relationships? I think they become obsessed with the thing that they struggle with on a deepest level.

Well...adultery is certainly something to avoid. It is the worst sin a person can commit short of murder and the unpardonable sin. That said, people do need to pay more attention to "those other things" Jesus taught as well.

I wonder how you managed to gather your statistics, of course, but I imagine that the sin of adultery is much more interesting than most of the others.

I don't think there is any certain sin that is focused on, and I don't know why you would think that. I watch church services on TV from time to time, ( I don't go to church ), and I seldom see the pastors focusing on only that. But they do speak a lot about family and the family being the basis of a good, Christian life.

i am thinking that adultry wins the award for commandment most broken.
especially after jesus said that if a man even thinks about it, he has committed adultry.
