She would love it, and I think she would be offended by this question.

I think it's a great gift! But let me ask because there are sooo many types of 17 yr olds - is she a girly girl? or is she more of a 'skater gal'? Is she more classic in her tastes or does she like 'hip and trendy'? Your idea is good for all of them to be honest, it's just what type of fragrance you get her. For just about all of them the freesia scent would work, it's clean and not too prissy - but for the girly-girl I'd get the rose.
Good Luck and you are being very generous!

I'm a photographer and photograph high school seniors. I don't think you have to worry about about her being younger. Most girls this age are pretty gown up by now. At least when it comes to the girly things. They all love pretty, nice stuff and bath goodies are always good. I have a 9 year old daughter and her favorite haunt is Bath and Body Works. Stop worrying. She'll love it.

I definetly think your safe with that. Bath type stuff is ALWAYS a safe gift for girls....no matter the age. Hey, 17 year olds like to smell great too! (Not to mention high school can be very difficult....she may need the pampering too!)

Yeah I think bath stuff is a great idea but subtly try to find out her favorite scent first. I absolutely hate some smells and whenever you get them from a specialty store like that, they won't let you exchange without hassle. What perfume does she wear? That should give you a hint of if she likes floral, citrus, musk, or whatever.

I don't know any girl that would not like jewelry. If you wanted to give them something simple in jewelry form that would be a good idea. All girls love to get their hair and makeup done. I think you are right on the money.

I think she would like that very much. You could either give her that or a mall gift card for the same amount so that she could get new clothes, or something she might have been wanting for a while.

I am leery of giving folks these kinds of products. So many of my friends have allergies, and can only use certain things.
I would only do this if I was absolutely sure she liked and could use Crabtree & Evelyn products. If I was not sure, I would give her a gift certificate to her favorite bookstore or favorite restaurant. Or maybe a cute purse or monogrammed tote bag.

If she's 17, isn't she close to being classified as an adult? Who doesn't like jewelry? Congrats on your impending nuputials, and good luck

Of course a seventeen yr old loves anything free...especially hair and make-up. I think you are doing something wonderful for all the girls!

17 is close enough. Give her whatever 'adult' gift you were going to give the rest.
