believing in God and believing in Jesus doesnt make you a Christian..... even the demons of hell know who God and Jesus are but they won't go to heaven.

you have to choose to follow and obey Jesus.... and repent of sin....

sex outside of marriage is sin...

I attended church as a teen... so i thought that made me a 'christian'.... i was so wrong. I had premarital sex and i never even considered that it wasnt ok with God, cuz well, everyone did it so it was ok.... i was wrong about that too. it wasnt until i chose to be Christ's disciple and follow what it is that He wants from me that i finally understood why he wanted me to be above the world's idea of 'normal' and be set apart ...

I regret a lot of things i did before i became born again... and I have strived to continue to be more like Christ each day? do i still sin? yeah... but I know Christ, and I ask forgiveness and do what i can to not let it happen again!

People can believe in God, but that doesn't necessarily make them a Christian. God condemns pre-marital sex. Sex is a beautiful, wonderful thing, but it's only to be done between a married couple. This is all over the Bible. In Matthew 5:19 and Mark 7:21, Jesus says that out of the hearts of men proceed evil thoughts, and He includes fornication on the list. Fornication is sexual relations between two unmarried people.

In Ephesians 5:3, Paul writes, 'But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints.' A saint is any believer in Christ, anyone who is saved. Fornication is not fitting for us saints to engage in. It's a sin.

In Galatians 5:19-21, Paul tells us that people who engage in fornication have no part in the kingdom of God. In Colossians 3:5-6, Paul tells us that people who engage in fornication will have God's wrath.

So in short, it is *not* okay to engage in pre-marital sex. Of course, Christians stumble, but saying 'well, these other Christians do it, so it must be okay' is a bogus argument. There is always forgiveness of sin, but if you're a true Christian, then you'll want to live your life pleasing to God, and He says to wait until you're married.

I'm not sure they really care. Take, for example, my friend's family. The father and mother had pre-marital sex. She was pregnant with their first child when they married. The father caught the oldest daughter in her room having pre-marital sex as a teenager. They latter caught the first son in the basement having sex. Now the poor third kid is watched like a hawk because they just assume he has the same mind-set they do XD and he's the only atheist out of the bunch, and the only virgin. Interesting, no?

According to the bible: Pre-marital sex is a sin, a crime against God. It says that (paraphrasing) if one cant resist the urge to have sex, it is better to marry than to burn in hell.

If a christian has premarital sex, then dies right after, they will be judged for that sin, because they didn't ask for forgiveness and/or repent.

Jesus' death and the whole salvation thing is about professing that Jesus is Lord, and that we are sinners, we acknowledge what we have done wrong, and we ask for forgiveness and repent.

wow, 2 deep questions in one little paragraph.
Well, as for premarital sex. No, you should not have it. It becomes adultery if that person is not the one for you. Your
virginity is a gift to your spouse.

As for asking forgiveness, you should ask God for forgiveness of all your sins. Not one sin is better or worse than any other to God. If you don't ask for forgiveness, how could you be forgiven?

It's a sin. You can be forgiven for it of course, but if you truly love Jesus you will obey his commands. Remember, we're called to be Christ-like, not live "up" to the level of other people.

My wife and I both waited until after we were married, and we were very happy to be each other's first.

UPDATE: The cultural context argument doesn't fly, when Peter wrote that we should avoid fornication, it was during Roman rule, and trust me the Romans were not puritans.

It is a sin outside of marriage. God classifies it as a sin because sex is sacred and is supposed to be practiced only within marriage. He doesnt want you to hook up with every guy you meet. If youre engaged, MAYBE it would be okay. Just remember, God is always there for you when you need to ask for forgivness.

The bible forbids it.
What you are seeing is in it's self a statement of there faith. I am a christian unless it goes against what i want to do. How can they be christian if they don't obey Jesuses words ?
Jesus talking about true followers said...By there fruits you will know them. Your friends are convenient Christians who think they can do what they want and be forgiven.
Yes Christians are forgiven for there sins but not for connivance sinning. It all comes down to there heart and god can read the heart

Pre marital sex is not a righteous thing to do. The powers of procreation and the gift of sexual pleasure are things God expects us to use only with our spouse to who we are married. Sex bettween a husband and wife is a righteous and wonderful thing. It is ordained of God, as it were.
This is a commandment which is recieving less and less attention these days. Sexual crimes are the worst sins there are save murder itself and the "unpardonable sin".

Sex is the same as any other sin like cursing it happens sex is just highlighted because of the potential consequenses like procreating before being commited for life with your partner. Plus you more likely to sin this because of hormones and love for your partner.
