As you should be. She said no and you need to respect your parents. You have your whole life to shave legs.

Why is this such a big deal? You have hair you don't want and have a way to get rid of it, so you do. Now that you're shaving it won't look like you need to, so just don't bother mentioning it to her and it won't be an issue. Why should she care if you're shaving your legs or not? If she asks if you are shaving, just tell her the truth. If she gets mad it's her problem, not yours. I can't believe that in this day and age this should still be a problem. I can remember when I was in high school, some of the Latino girls I knew had a hard time dealing with the fact that their moms wouldn't let them shave and I could never understand that. Why would a mother want her daughter to feel less than feminine over something so simple? Just keep shaving, hon, and don't worry about getting in trouble. What's she gonna do- take your razor away?

I think you should continue shaving and just say to your mum that you have been shaving for a while now because your concious of the hairs on your legs and underarms when your at school etc etc, or if your other friends have ben doing it too and she may end up buying your your own razor and creams too, I started at 13 and to be honest with you parents are more opened about they're teenage daughters looking after themselves at a younger age now too, as I have have got clients that would take they're daughters to get waxed now or would start them off on creams like immac/veet. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

well, it is early to be shaving, for most people, but usually once you start, you can't go back, b/c your hair grows back differently. More than likely, this is why your mom told you not to worry about it yet. Most girls think shaving makes them feel older, and more mature, but it's pointless if you just plain didn't need it yet. But, you are, so it doesn't really matter. If the hair on your legs is dark now, your mom prolly won't make you stop. It wasn't a big deal to my mom, so I can't think of a reason why your mom would really be mad, other than your disobeying. It's never good to keep stuff from your parents.

If you feel as though the hair on your legs has gotten a bit dark and/ or out of control then by all means continue shaving. My daughter is 14 and has been shaving for 2 years. I think that once you start, that there is no turning back. I would tell her that you started. Just to be honest. It really is YOUR decision. I wish you luck.

13 year olds shaving is not out of the ordinary. It's the awareness period you are going through and you mom should be more understanding. Keep it quiet for now, but if caught, you can put up the arguement that it makes you feel better about yourself. Don't say sexier or prettier.

Either she's not paying attention or she doesn't care. If you have already started shaving your legs, you cannot stop. Frankly, if you have started your periods, then you are old enough to shave your legs and underarms. You are going to have to simply tell her because you need the proper razor and shave jel.

13 is a little old to not be allowed to shave your legs. I'm not sure what good it will do to tell her. As long as you are being safe, I see no reason to tell her. She might get mad when she finds out, but I doubt she would punish you. That seems unreasonable.

i think you should do what you feel is right, i believe that it is a good time to start shaving, before you get overly hairy which is totally embarrassing, trust. If your mom doesn't want you to, then keep doing it behind her back, i mean shaving isn't a crime. She probably wants you to stay her baby :) Or you can tell her straight up that you feel its time, your growing up, and you can make your own decisions.

What's the big deal? You're just shaving your legs. Parents should really find more important things to control. Anyway, if you are afraid, you might just want to come clean and tell her you're already doing it. She's going to be more angry if you keep lying to her about it.

But relay why are you shaving them? You relay are to young. Your hair will get very thick and stables will be hard and ugly later in life. Stop and wait 3 - 4 years. Enjoy the baby fuzz.
