That would be a really interesting claim. Nothing against Islam, but the Quran quite explicitly refers to Biblical figures like Jesus and Moses. It's hard to see any logical or historical basis for asserting Islam as the first religion when the Quran refers to the figures and text of another religion. This is all the more strained given that Muhammad's life is well documented historically and many religions like Christianity and Hinduism have substantial historical records and artifacts that clearly predate Muhammad's life. But one does see some remarkable claims in R&S, many of which are unfettered by little things like historical records and logical inference.

I am a Christian and while I believe in God and that there is only one true God. I also believe in religous tolerange and accepting others for who they are and that by showing them the love and kindness that Christ and God has shown us they may be more willing to listen to our point of view with the same tolerance. In my presonal case I am a Baptist and my husband is a witch ( he practices Wicca) our Daughter is expossed to both readily as well as ant other religion we run accross in our lives so that she can make the choice of what she believes not just forcing a religion on her because we believe it is right or wrong.

I like the way you think.
Unfortunately, two of the three religions you've talked about have a history of seeking out people that think the way you do and putting them to death, and the third, a history of warfare and intolerance toward another religion on the list.
Nonetheless, there have been some relative successes, information about some of which I've included in my sources

Tolerance yes. Acceptance no. I cannot accept a belief that is different from mine and islam is very different. Some beliefs mislead and take you away from God. God does not want that, Satan does. You sound like you would embrace a one world religion. Read the Holy Bible and see what a mistake that will be and unfortunately it will happen.
God Bless.

Nobody is right but God, and He isn't schizophrenic. Allah is the moon god from the time of mohammed. Jews serve the right God they just don't realize yet that the messiah has come (some have). But many of them will. True Christians don't witness because they want to feel superior we do it so people won't go to hell. You call it arrogance I call it love.

Once a Muslim forever a Muslim
Once a Christian forever a Christian
Once a Buddhist forever a Buddhist
Once a Hindu forever a Hindu
Once a pagan forever a pagan
Once an unbeliever forever an unbeliever
Once a believer in myself only, forever believer in myself only
See that is why we fight and continue to fight and fight on until judgement day comes.
We are just too proud of ourselves and too proud with what we have.

Libyan Amoona, what proof do Muslims have? Not internal conviction.. that's not proof, that's just personal convincing. I would accept DNA evidence, Original photos or video, or really good footprints.
Absence of Evidence does not mean Evidence of Absence.

For the most part, I agree with you. But are you not showing bias, intolerance, and a lack of acceptance when you call other religions ignorant or try to "convert" them to YOUR way of thinking? In the end, what is the difference?

How does Islam have any more proof then any other religion? In all honesty, since Islam was founded more recently than either Judaism or Christianity, it should be treated more speculatively than others.
