I think it all depends on how complex your question is. If it's something that's really complicated, then less people are going to know the proper advice to give you and less people will answer.
If you have a complicated question, you could always try to simplify it a little bit. That would probably give you better results.
Also, the time of day that you ask the question might have something to do with it too. If you post it at say... 2 in the morning.. not many people are going to be online to answer it.
You can always try re-posting the question at a different time as well, if you aren't happy with the answers that you got.
I hope that helped! :]

Some questions get tiring. Most people ask questions they already know the answer to. I see that Q& A is also meant for people looking for reference. However, most people think they should still ask and get an answer anyway. Refer to similar situations if your questions are that general like, " should I call her?", "does she like me?". I mean you might have a sincere question but I also find that voting for a good answer that I agree to or if my point has already been mentioned is just as effective. Why repeat what has already been said? Some questions are ofcourse plainly ignorant, rude, attention seeking or just can't be understood...and often times people will just hit the back button and you can't blame them. Questions that seem to get more great answers are those that are either intelligent, well thought out, real-life changing, unique but sensible or simply interesting...Bear in mind that stupid questions get more answers with a lot of sarcasm, dissing and a few constructive replies...
By the way, mind your heading. It's the first thing that usually invites people to at least look at your question or just pass it! The more people you have reading, the more answers you get. I also think time of day has an effect on the site's traffic and the type of readers at the time you post questions.

make the title more exciting, also people dont know who "him" is but they know what to answer when its a situation that they can relate to. Also I have found that the less words you write in your question, the more people are willing to read it and answer it. Also they do the silly thing of asking you more questions about your situation even though it is very hard for you to answer questions about your question in a forum such as this. In the title of this question you used "qs", I dont know if you do that often but a lot of people may not understand what you are saying! I hope this helps. There is an old statement that goes "keep it simple"
keep that in mind the next time you ask a question and remember to make an eye catching title. Look at the titles of jerry springer and maury and remember that those people are auctually getting paid to come up with eye catching titles. Be dramatic with the title even if the question is not that interesting and remember, THE SHORTER THE BETTER!

The "should I call him" and "does he like me" questions get asked her a million times a day, and the members get bored seeing them because the bottom line is we don't know...we can't read anyone's mind.
The people that actually need help/advice are those that are having more serious issues.
Couple that with the fact that MANY questions get asked on this site (and in the Family categories) daily so sometimes a question gets bumped off the first page very quickly, and thus is less likely to get many answers after that point as new questions continue to come in.

it depends on how intelligent the question is, and sometimes the same ones are asked over and over again. People may get tired of the same things. And like someone else said, if you have to ask if something is wrong, it more than likely is. Some questions just aren't worth the 2 points.

Simple questions gets simple answers. Most simple question are not even worth answering like "should I call him and stuff" I wouldn't answer a question like that because that should be up to the simple person who's asking the question.

A lot of the times it appears that the questions are very immature. Some even appear to be asked strictly for shock value and are very rude and/or improper. Providing you get one answer that is helpful that should be sufficient. Not all questions require multiple responses either.
