For me personally, I am married to an Active Duty Service Member. Because we are constantly on the move, I need my "work" to move with me.

It is so frustrating that I spent so much money on acquiring my Masters and I can't even get a job to pay back my student loans.

Telecommuters are difficult to supervise. They are difficult to communicate with because you don't see them in person. And if you are always moving, the company would have to keep changing its computing and telecomm equipment to keep up with your moves. What kind of masters do you have?

I understand where your coming from but honestly, if you had your own business, trying to make money for yourself and your family and you had an employee or employees, if they went into Active Duty or decided they had to just move somewhere else, would you move your business for them or would you revise the way you do business to suit them? I think not. You have to remember that YOU chose to be an Active Duty Service Member...no one forced you to do it. I commend you for getting your Masters but why would you knowing that you were Active Duty. You have to look at both sides, not just yours.

Because of the handful of jerks out there that abuse telecommuting the rest of us have to go to the office to be babysat.
