Don't worry much about it. There is nothing man can do to effect the climate or weather. However if you want to sleep better at night, the best solution is not to have any kids.

There are many ways you can try, but really youll have to be consistant to make a difference. The usual ones are that you don't drive everywhere, if you can walk or take a bus or ride a bike it's not as bad. If you go shopping try not to use plastic bags, i know how those people say that, "oh these bags can be recycled easliy" bring your own bag! Is that too embarrassing to do?
If you have plastic bags at home, you can use it as your trash can, reuse it!
When you take a shower try to use the least amount of water, or just don't let it run while you put soap on, i know it'll be cold, but it's a good way, if you take a 5 minute shower you use a few gallons of water already with the water on. Reserving water isn't like going to save the earth from global warming but we only have 1 percent of earths fresh water so we better use it wisely.
Turn off the faucet when you brush your teeth you can save up to 8 quarts of water like that!
When you wash the dishes, don't fill the sink with soapy water, you can just rinse the dishes, put soap on, and give it a final rinse.
if you see any leaky faucets tell someone and get it fixed, if you see a turned on faucet or a dripping one turn it off and make sure yours is turned off too.
Try to use natural soap, it doesn't pollute as much.
Try not to use the air con, it only generates more heat on the other side.

Thank you for passion and concern for the world. The most easy way to help prevent global warning is to follow the simple rules.
-Eat as much you can, but do not waste food.
-Write or use as much as you can, but do not waste paper
-Do not buy products you would not use much. Almost every production contributes to global warming.
-Do not use own car always if he have comfortable option to use bus or train or bi cycle.
-Do not forget to turn off the room heater when you go out.
-Do not also forget to switch off the lights when you go out.
-Buy environment friendly food and goods.
This little things adds much if we all of us think the same way. For a better idea you can visit the website ''ecologicalfootprint.org " ; where you can answer a quiz and know how much you contribute to the planet with your current lifestyle. Probably, you will find that ; the planet would require four times bigger space than present if everyone in the planet enjoys the same lifestyle as you are enjoying now.

you can help prevent global warming by not burning your wastes, by not smoking, by usually taking public transportation so that there will be less smoke in the air (air pollution) you can also prevent global warming by not puting up green houses. green houses destroy the ozone layer and lets in more heat which can melt the polar ice caps.

There are many things you can do to ease the pollution of the environment, but I think one of the easiest things you can do is to go vegetarian. Livestock is a major cause of water pollution, soil pollution and gases that are thought to contribute to rapid climate change. Plus it takes much more energy and resources to raise meat than it does to raise grains and vegetables. A plant-based diet is better for you as well, reducing your risk of heart disease and some cancers. Vegetarian foods can also be much cheaper than meat. It is a very easy change to make and your body, the animals and the planet will thank you for it. You can't lose!
Visit http://www.goveg.com/ for more information.
Edit: Why is this idea always so unpopular in the environment sections? Is it too "inconvenient" for you when it starts affecting your plate?

Well, by your very existence you are warming up the environment, via your body heat, various excretions (co2, methane etc), your consumptions, via power, fuel, food and all the other things you do, maybe if you stop breathing and stand very still................
