I work at Cracker Barrel and I actually don't mind eating there either, which should say a lot to anyone who's ever worked in the food business. They make their biscuits from scratch and are really, really tasty. For your steak and egg breakfast, it all depends on the cooks at the time and how much training they've had. More experienced cooks will send food out the correct way, every way where as less experienced ones may get steaks and eggs sent back for not being done properly. The Cracker Barrel's steak and egg breakfast comes with an 8 oz. steak, 3 eggs, hashbrown casserole, fried apples, grits, gravy, and biscuits. It's rightfully called The Country Boy Breakfast. They serve breakfast all day but they're only open 6am-10pm (11 on Fri/Sat). You can substitute extra hashbrowns or apples for the grits for 89 cents or something like that. Or just extra gravy and biscuits.

Perkins, anywhere, USA! I love the Granny's Country Omelette. It's a loaded omelette, but they put hashbrowns and cheese inside, and you still get a side of more hashbrowns, toast, and a giant muffin. I think all that was under $10.
Or (tied for first place), there's a truckstop right on I-35 in Iowa around mile marker 141, but I can't remember the name now. It's on the EAST side of the interstate, not the west. The one on the west has lousy food. The one on the east has the most awesome southwest omelette. It has taco meat, veggies, and some weird pink salsa cheese sauce, but it's excellent! That's about $5 last I knew.
No fancy places can compare to real down-home food in huge amounts!

Well after a night a drinking (We have a DD or take a cab) we like the Waffle House or Denny's. They're all through out Virginia.
On a regular, say Saturday morning with the kids, we like the local places best. They have awesome food and good service, and they're always really cheap.
A few places we like are Ben Franklin's,& Candy's DIner in Woodstock Va, or Hi-Neighbor in Strasburg.
Corporate places we like are Cracker Barral, Shoney's and Denny's. They're moderatly priced.
I love Cracker Barral b/c they have the antiiques everywhere, and the store!! I love the store. They have a lot of retro toys and foods and the rocking chairs out on the porch, and the fireplace and Like the person said above, it's the best place to go when it's chilly outside!! All of their food is really good.

Delly Deck Restaurant in Havensight Mall, St Thomas, USVI
Used to work on RCCL ships and this was a regular haunt. So much better than the crew mess especially for a morning after the night before (which was usually a late night in Puerto Rico).
I remember the bacon and egg muffins with Canadian bacon... also remember they did the best corned beef hash with poached eggs. Never had this as good anywhere else. Bloody Mary's weren't to shabby either!
From where the ships dock at Havensight it is down to the left a bit. Can't miss it... ask any one of the ship's crew!

Chat-A-Wyle in Bath NY. on Liberty St.,No it isn't pricey, but it is an ellagant atsomphere, the waiteresses and work staff are very hospitable. I have eaten there several times, whenever my children come up form Michigan and Flordia that is where we take them to breakfast, they are all use to high class places but they like our little resturant in Bath. What I ate was Bagel, cream cheese, fruit and coffee but their favs. are waffles, sausage, etc...

believe it or not, but i like IHOP the mainstream resturant. there hours are so flexible (you can have breakfast at 2am or even as late as 6pm)
its not pricey at all (unless you ask for substiutites) bottomless coffee pot and juice.
the "at home atmosphere" although the air conditioner is a little high on temperature.
I had the tri-state plate. three eggs any style, bacon OR sausage (three) and three pancakes.
located all across America.
