First of all I am a top contributor in another category, but I didn't want this question revealed to my contacts or listed under my questions, so I made a new profile.

I've been in counseling most of my life, on and off for various reasons. I have been suicidal most of my life, well to be honest, suicidal during my teens, but suicidal thoughts haunt me daily sometimes, and right now, they haunt me hourly. I can't think of anything else, but the fact that I don't want to see tomorrow. Part of me doesn't have the guts to do it, because I tried before and it didn't happen, and I don't want to be in the hospital with a tube down my nose again, forced to drink charcoal. I have a partner who I have been with for 5 years, a daughter and a stepson, yet they are not enough for me to continue on. I don't WANT to continue on. I need the pain to end. I can't be hospitalized, I just started a new job, plus I don't see it helping. I don't know why I posted here, i just needed an outlet.

I've tried talking to people on and off, depending on my mood, mentally, I'm drained, I'm tired, and there's nothing...

Contact your therapist right away. If you are not already in with one, call a suicide hotline. You need medication. If you are on one, it probably needs to be changed in some way. Then, also think of how committing suicide would be on your family, especially your children. When the medication starts working, consider doing something like walking daily. If you kept this up, you would see that it actually helps your mood. The endorphins kick in and you naturally feel more up. This takes a little while before it kicks in, but you will know it when you get there. I wish you luck.

This is a very hard question to answer as I really don't know you and all things are easier said than done. You really just need to find what it is within yourself that kept you going when you were younger. What is it that you need or want to be to get satisfaction out of your life? You obviously need more challenge in life than just a family? Maybe you can consider this as a challenge rather than a downfall? As i said...easier said than done, but maybe it's just all about your mind and where you place it. Try to change your mind to be more challenging on yourself rather than defeating yourself. Don't be so harsh. Everyone in your life thinks your great I'm sure! You just have to see that too and make your self a better person for you...

Good luck

You sound like allot of people when they have to much time on their hands and nothing to do. Try getting into a hobby of sorts, play sports, and LAUGH... laughing helps making things seem a bit mundane and easier. But if that doesn't help then seek professional help.

Remember we all go through times where we feel nothings right with life anymore, and the hardships are just to hard to deal with. But one things for sure there is always good in life you just have to find it.

Good luck hun and please keep safe.

I know you don't realize this now, but you definitely need to be on medication that works for you. If you are currently taking meds, you need to increase them or change prescriptions. I have schizophrenia and major depression and today I live a normal, healthy life because of my medication. You can't expect to do well on your new job without treatment. I had to switch medications many times until I found the right ones. Now I take Zoloft, Abilify and Wellbutrin at high doses. But for me, that's what it takes to live a normal life. Good Luck!

I hope your still with us. Suck it up and quit being selfish!! You have a responsibility to stay alive until your natural death. Life is a gift don't throw it away. Suicide is the easy way out and you burn for eternity. You have mental problems go to a therapist, I have no sympathy for anyone who is stupid enough to think that if they die no one will be affected. Think of your children and you partner instead of yourself. Think of your mother who gave birth to you...regardless of what kind of life you have you have life so go to the doctor, get some medicine or therapy and talk to someone who will help you.
If you choose the easy way out....may God show you mercy.

im glad u did post on here. that means that u want to change, and u want to get help. i cannot say that i relate to the suicidal thoughts, but i can relate on the fact that u want to do any thing to change your life drastically. i really hope that u dont act on your thoughts, especially since you have a family. now, im no counsoler, but i would reccomed to get soemthing, like a hobbie to pre-occupy your mind. to get you focused on something else. like reading, or games.. somehting. when i feel like the world is hatin on me and i just want to run, i play a video game, listen to music, or just start driving.. it gets my mind off of everything and lets me relax. i really hope this helps and that you get the help you need. please feel free to contact me! cozymel77@yahoo.com

Having also had problems with mental health, the best thing I can advise is to talk to someone about it, then you need to see a mental health professional!!
