They say you can relate to a song. May it be in the past, now or for hopes in the future, What song can represent it? Kindly cite examples and details. Does music elevate your soul? for me, it does.

Me? As of now, I listen to My Chemical Romance's I DON'T LOVE YOU.

It portrays my feelings for my x. He is my first true love. Well I thought it was until I found out nothing will be right until two people wants to work it out. I gave him my all and attended to his needs but the heart tends to give in to exhaustion. It loves without boundaries but it can reach a point where it's stop beating for someone. Falling out of love.

What is your song and story?

well i really like the song Way back into love by Hugh Grant it is the ost of music and lyrics with Drew Barrymore. the lyrics is so good and it really fits our story I mean my bf and me. We almost broke up and he was like not that sure if he still want to be with me, and then a friend of mine told me about the lyrics and i sent it to my bf, then he emailed me and now we are still together. try to listen to the song. i am gonna type it too...lol :)
+ way back into love+
I've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I've been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past
I just can't seem to move on

I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need them again someday
I've been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
Oh oh oh

I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I've been searching but i just don't see the signs
I know that it's out there
There's got to be something for my soul somewhere

I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestions

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end

Oh oh oh

There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I'll be there for you in the end

Oh oh oh

Great question, I too turn to music at different times in my life. My Dad passed away July 31, 2007. I was there to hold his hand when he passed and I will always be greatful for that. Because of that my song right now is You'll Always Be My Baby by Sara Evans. Burn by JoDee Messina for my 2 baby boy's in heaven, and my 17 year old daughter. And Come To Bed by Gretchen Wilson for my husband, because we are going through a rough patch.

I find that different songs remind me of different times in my life. A song by Staind reminds me of my 8th grade trip to Washington, DC because I listened to it all the way there...haha. "The Mixed Tape" by Jack's Mannequin reminds me of a past experience with a girl... "Cold" by Crossfade reminds me of another... "More Than a Feeling" by Boston reminds me of my freshman year of college...
