I have heard a number of different definitions,what do you think it is?

In addition to being a really useful expletive for phrases like, "Hell no, there is no god and it doesn't matter what name you give him - he's not real!" and "No way in hell could believe the tripe that's printed in the bible and the kuran," I am convinced that hell is nothing but a fantasy... It's the letters "B" and "S" with a bold typed "effing" in between.

There are 162 references to HELL in the New Testament alone, over 70 of those spoken by Jesus Himself.
" He that believes (the gospel) and is baptized SHALL BE SAVED; he that believes not SHALL BE DAMNED ". - Jesus
"So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth". - Jesus (Matt. 13:49)
Jesus called it a literal place of REAL torment.

God did NOT create it. When he first created humankind, his intention was all people go to heaven. But since Adam and Eve did not do the right thing, many people go to hell. Hell is the place where people go if they commited crimes and did not repent for it, or if they did not complete their responsibility.

i've always thought that it depends on the person. you think of flames and little monsters when you think of hell. But that might appeal to some people which would mean that it isn't going to be hell to them it would be their heaven. Personally my hell is being alone, my heaven, being surrounded by family.

Good question. hell is going through life being lonely or living from paycheck to paycheck while movie stars make hundreds of thousands for each movie.
