i mean when its cheapest from the us to italy

almost anytime is better than summer, but the trick is which airport to fly into from your destination. price compare rome, milan and pisa (near florence) from your destination. also, look at maybe flying into one of the london airports, which may be cheaper, then taking a local english flight into an italian airport to save $$. flying from east coast is always less expensive than west coast to europe...

During office hours, unless you buy online, than you can buy them at any hour :-)

Really, what is your question? Where are you leaving from? Do you want to know the best time of the year to visit Italy, or do you want to buy tickets when they are cheapest? or something else? Where in Italy do you want to go? Do you mind if it is hot/rainy/crowded? Do you want to go skiing or to a beach? etc. etc
