Western Australia? Great place. I've been over there (from the UK) twice now, spent a month there each time and didnt want to come back! The climate is perfect, hot days but not humid, warm evenings, long deserted beaches, exotic plants and birds, very friendly people and excellent shopping. The lifestyle seems to be so much more relaxed and entertainment is very much based on being outdoors, barbeques, surfing, boating and beaching. The scenery is absolutely stunning, from the forests down south, to the mountains inland, to the beaches that stretch for miles and miles, to the deserts, to the parks in the cities. I love Perth, especially Kings Park, fantastic views of the city. Love the nautical nature of Fremantle too. Rottnest Island was favourite though, like paradise! Western Australia? Best place on the planet!

I do hope you made it up to the Kimberley region.
Broome, Derby, Kununurra.
Its great this time of year.
