I need to reboot computer and first want to backup all my music. I am using a PC running XP, i looked in the path C:\Documents and Settings\---'s\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music and found 50 artists with all their albums etc, but where is the rest (majority) of my music? Any ideas?

Run a search of your computer for the file types your music are stored as, MP3 etc, make a note of the locations and then include those locations in your back ups

By default iTunes stores music in the location you stated in your question. I can only assume you have other music that you added through a different music application than iTunes. Most likely another music jukebox application would probably store files under my music, but another folder or possibly right in the my music folder.

I used music match prior to having iTunes, with music match the song files were stored directly in my music.

did you buy them from itunes then i dont think you can back them up because of file sharing stuff... thats my guess. you can also get a program to take music off your ipod just google "how to take music off your ipod" Hope that helps :)
